Our Mission
Our mission: To infuse technology and shift instructional practices in ways that create limitless learning opportunities for all twenty-first-century learners in the Maryville City Schools.
Maryville City Schools has embarked on an extraordinary journey to capture a vision that will forever change learning for all students from kindergarten to graduation. The need for a digital conversion, for both teaching and learning, is a shared vision of school districts across the nation. To make this conversion a reality for current and future students, this vision must be shared by internal and external stakeholders throughout our school community.
New for 2024-2025 - iReach Protection Plan
Maryville City Schools is moving to an OPTIONAL iReach Protection Plan. This purchase protects and covers against damages to student technology devices (laptops and iPads), and is available for all grade levels.
The 2024-2025 MCS iReach Protection Plan may be purchased at any time; however, it is best to purchase the plan at the beginning of the school year. Damage claims prior to plan purchase are not eligible for coverage by the iReach Protection Plan. Beginning Labor Day, device inspection is required for all new iReach Protection Plan purchases. Additionally, the annual iReach Protection Plan expires at the end of each school year and must be renewed annually.
The cost of the plan is $40 for individual students and $100 for family. The family plan can be purchased through the following link.

One Drive
OneDrive is your Cloud Storage Solution in Maryville City Schools. Below are instructions for setting up your OneDrive, where you should save everything. It will never get lost if you save it there. To make this easier, you must make it available in File Explorer. See the pic on this web page to understand what "File Explorer" is and notice once you complete the steps below, File Explorer will list "One Drive - Maryville City Schools" That is correct, the one that just says OneDrive is BAD, do not use it to save to.
Step 1. Downloading/Setup OneDrive
After completing Step 1, move on to Step 2.
Step 2. SAVING TO YOUR One Drive
Once you have completed Steps 1 & 2 you will be ready to use your OneDrive.
Printing at School
When you need to print something at school for class, print to the Library Printer. Here are instructions on how to add that printer so you can print to it from your computer.
Adding the Library Printer:
- Click on the search button on the bottom left of your screen next to the Windows symbol.
- Type "Printer" and select "Printer & Scanners."
- Select "+ Add a printer or scanner."
- Searching for your printer
- Select the printer (you may have to scroll down) named something like "MJ Library...) Make sure it is MJ and not MHS.
- Remembering the rules below, Go print!
Rules for Printing @ School:
- Consider Printing Double-sided to save trees.
- Print in Black in White (or Grayscale), it’s cheaper!
- Print only things needed by your teacher.
- Printing Personal docs, pictures, etc. is prohibited. Violating this rule will result in a DLOG entry and possible loss of printing Privileges.
- This year, you can print 200 Black & White copies or roughly 100 Color copies….PLENTY!
- If you run out, come to the Help Desk and we will look at your Print jobs (hope there are no print jobs that were not school related)
More copies can be added if determined to be justified.
Printing at Home
Option 1: Printing via USB Cable
Plug the USB cable from your printer into your laptop. When you plug it in, your computer should do all the setup work. If you are printing a Word document and the printer is plugged into your laptop, all you have to do is select the printer and print.
Option 2: Wireless Printing
For most wireless printers, this will be easy to set up.
- Click on the search button on the bottom left of your screen next to the Windows symbol.
- Type "Printer" and select "Printer & Scanners."
- Select "+ Add a printer or scanner."
- Searching for your printer
- Select your wireless printer and follow any steps that follow.
- Go print!
- If that does not work, read below.
The requirement to print will be limited for most students, but when needed, students can save files to the cloud or external storage and print via devices at home or other locations. District devices are configured to print to specific printers at school. You may install a printer at home, as long the printer doesn’t require administrative rights. Some models of newer printers (especially Wi-Fi-enabled printers) require Administrative Rights to be installed. Student accounts can’t have these rights, but there are some options for using them. One option might be to configure a special email address so that anything sent to that specific address is automatically printed. Check your printer documentation for details. Another option might be to use Google Cloud Print or another 3rd party option that could allow you to print using Chrome instead of having to install a print driver. See google.com/cloudprint for details.
NOTE: If your home printer requires that you have admin rights to your school laptop to be able to print, there is a workaround to still let you print to that printer as long as you have a Google (Gmail) account and it’s either a Wi-Fi printer or connected to a computer with internet access. GOOGLE CLOUD PRINTING:

- Select the printers you want to connect to, and then click ADD printer(s).
- The printer is now associated with your Google Account and connected to Google Cloud Print. You can print to this printer from any device where you’re signed in to your Google Account.
ON YOUR COMPUTER
- Open Chrome.
- Open the page, image, or file you want to print.
- Click File -> Print. Or use a keyboard shortcut.
- In the window that appears, click Change to choose your Google Cloud Printer.
- Change any print settings you want.
- When ready, click Print.
