Headteacher Message
Happy new year to you all and a very warm welcome back to a new term. It has been a very calm, positive and happy week. The students have been a pleasure to have back.
Welcome also to the students that join us from South Korea for the next two weeks. They are here to experience school life in England. These exchanges can be of huge cultural benefit and I hope our students make the most of this.
Huge thanks to our amazing staff who accompanied students on a very memorable ski trip. It was a huge success and next yearโs trip is already being planned! Thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Scott, Miss O'Connor, Mr. Steyne and Miss Hodge. I also wanted to convey my sincere thanks to Nicolas Charalambous and everyone at the Rotary for their very generous donation to support with buying some new musical instruments for our school. We are very lucky to have such local support. Do attend our Music concert on 7th February, details of which are in this newsletter.
I hope you enjoy reading the newsletter.

New Designated Safeguarding Lead
I have taken over the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Having previously been a DSL, I know how much of a privilege it is to be responsible for the safety and welfare of the students.
Please do utilise the networks in place to support your children if ever you need to; we will do what we can to support them so that they are equipped to achieve their full potential.
Year 7 Reading
Our Year 7 students have been embracing the joy of reading at home with their families, and we could not be prouder! This will have a huge impact on their literacy skills. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by our students and their families highlight the importance of reading as a lifelong skill and a source of enjoyment.
Keep up the fantastic work, Year 7!
Ski Trip Highlights
40 students from Years 8 to 10 had a fantastic time skiing in Italy over the Christmas break. Most of the group started off as complete beginners, and had never skied before, so it was great to see all students on the slopes, skiing down blue and red runs by the end of the trip.
Very much looking forward to the next one, so watch this space...
Spring Term Clubs
A BIG thank you to the Rotary Club!
Our sincere thanks go to Staines Rotary Club for their generous donation for music equipment, our students will benefit greatly from this.
The Spring Term Music Concert will be on 7th February at 7pm in the Main Hall. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their hard work on their performances, with a focus on Years 10 and 11 who have their performance exams this half term.
Tickets for the concert can be bought on ParentPay, ยฃ3 for adults and ยฃ2 for students. All proceeds will go towards future music events.
Food Bank Donations
As the festive season comes to an end, we would like to invite you to join us in supporting our local food bank. If you have any unwanted tins, jars, or cans, or dry food products, we would greatly appreciate your donations.
For the next two weeks, we will be collecting these items at the main reception, after which they will be delivered to help those in need within our community.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in making a difference.
