Bransford Elementary Mission Statement
To create a positive learning environment for all students that integrates the Arts into Education.
Greetings from Ms. Gerdes
Last Monday, our staff participated in training on our new diagnostic program, iREADY. You will be receiving more information from your child's teacher this week. If you have any questions, I encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher or myself and Mrs. Allen for clarification. After the training, I had the honor of sharing amazing things that are happening at BES with our GCISD School Board. Each year, every Principal present campus highlights that contribute to the district goals. It is such a blessing to get to tell others about our incredible staff, families, and especially our students.
Our CHHS baseball team joined us for arrival on Friday morning. Our Texans were so pumped for school after collecting high-fives from the baseball players and our Dads Club! One of the baseball players, Logan Rose, attended BES. It was fun to show him around and how he remembered the layout so well. He was in Mrs. Kaufmann's class in first grade and Mr. Kaufmann's class in 4th grade. Logan enjoyed seeing them both then reading to Mrs. Kaufmann's class before he headed to school himself. I had a surprise getting to visit with a baseball player who was in my first grade class many years ago. Hard to believe my last group of students are seniors this year! I can assure you that as an educator, the students we are blessed to serve are in our hearts forever.
On Tuesday, October 1, we have our first Spirit Night for the school year! On these nights, 100% of the proceeds raised goes directly in our campus funds and directly impacts our students' needs. On the 1st of October, 10% of all purchased between 6-8 pm will come to BES! In addition, we have two courts and an area reserved to gather during that time. It is a wonderful way to bring our campus community together and grow stronger together while supporting our school. I hope you can join us!
Remember to turn in your Reading Log to Mrs. Brock! September forms are due - I hope I remember to turn mine in on time. : )
Wishing you all a nice extended weekend!
All My BESt,
Ms. Gerdes

Lunch Visitors may begin September 3rd
Lunch Visitors may begin on September 3rd. If you would like to enjoy lunch with your child, you need to arrive just prior to their lunch time, sign in on Raptor with your ID, and proceed through the office to walk to the Cafeteria. You must keep your Visitor Badge on at all times. Once you are in the Cafeteria, you may sit at the Visitor's Table inside or you may sit outside on the picnic tables. You may sit with your child and bring food - however, you may not feed other students and you may only sit with your child. We do ask you stay off your phone (of course, a picture is fine but only with your child) and we ask your child is not on technology. Take this time to visit, ask your child questions about their day, and enjoy each other's company. Once the lunchtime is over, say your goodbyes and exit the front door. Visitors are not allowed to join students in the classroom. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, Ms. Shelly, or Ms. Charlotte.
