Wasco Weekly
THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
November 10, 2023
Wasco Families,
November is a great time to express gratitude and after viewing pictures from our Halloween fun, I want to give a shout-out to our parents! The pumpkin designs this year were fantastic, and your clever party ideas created a memorable event for all our Wasco students. Parenting is hard work day to day, and we sure appreciate your partnership in the day-to-day business of caring for and supporting your child so they can grow in our school community.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Growth Mindset Recognition Announcement
In October we spent time in our classrooms learning about having a growth mindset and what it looks like, sounds like and feels like. A growth mindset is when you believe that your brain is a muscle that gets stronger with practice. When a person believes that they can improve their talents through hard work, good strategies and accepting feedback from others. A fixed mindset is when you do not believe that you can improve or change your talents.
Last week, teachers were asked to recognize students that they believe demonstrate a Growth Mindset in our Wasco Community. The following students were recognized by our Wasco Staff. They will receive a certificate and have their photo proudly displayed on our Respect bulletin board outside of Mrs. Schroeder’s office. Please join me in congratulating:

PTO Presents...
SAVE THE DATE! Join us December 1st, 5-7pm for our annual holiday shop! This year, 15 local businesses will be joining us to give our Wasco community a chance to purchase gifts for family & friends while also supporting local small businesses. Kids will get to shop from the school's holiday shop vendor!
During that time, there will also be photos with Santa (he accepts donations), a hot cocoa bar, and a bake sale in the community room.
Early Release
Early Release:
One Wednesday per month, students will have an early release and dismissal will occur at 2:10pm. Please refer to the district website.

Attention Parents....Arrival and Dismissal
When using the drop off lane, please drive all the way forward so that we can load/unload as many cars as possible. Please stay in your car. If you wish to get out and load your child, you are welcome to park in the lot. By following this procedure, we can expedite everyone’s waiting times in the car lane.
