Principal's Message
As we anticipate cooler weather and leaves changing, we’re all feeling that cozy fall vibe, even though it's still pretty warm outside. It’s the perfect time to reflect on the year so far and get excited about what’s coming up. With the holidays around the corner and a calendar full of fun school events, there’s so much to look forward to!
Our students are buzzing with excitement for the upcoming events! Whether it’s the Color Craze, Veteran's Day, Field Day, or Thanksgiving celebrations, there are plenty of opportunities for our kids to shine. We love seeing them engage with their classmates, share their talents, and create lasting memories.
We truly believe that the best experiences come from a strong partnership between school, parents, and the community. Your involvement makes a huge difference! Whether it’s volunteering for events, attending parent-teacher meetings, or simply sharing your thoughts and ideas, your engagement enriches our school community.
As we navigate through this busy season, let’s continue to work together to support our students. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and with your partnership, we can make this fall unforgettable!
Keep an eye out on social media for updates on events and pictures/videos of the wonderful things that are taking place at Moore Elementary. We can’t wait to share all the excitement with you!
Wishing you a fantastic November filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of family time.
Regards,
Mrs. Hignight

Campus Celebrations
Moore Elementary will be having several events starting in November. We want to remind all parents and guardians of few policies so you will be in the know. There may be times that only one parent can come to an event. This could be due to how many students are part of the event and the capacity of the area that is being used. We must always follow Fire Marshal guidelines. Additionally, students will not be allowed to leave with someone other than the parent/guardian unless the campus has notification to release their child via email with attached driver's license. If you have any questions about events or campus policies, please feel free to reach out to us. We are here to answer any questions. Safety is a top priority at Moore and we appreciate your support as we continue to maintain a safe environment.

School Name: Moore Elementary School
Picture Day Date: Wednesday, November 20
Picture Day ID: EVT6WXKQ7
Student Visitors on Campus
Student visitors from other campuses and/or minor children on campus during the instructional day are not permitted to school events during the day. This also applies to lunch and dismissal times. All students and/or minor children present on campus or a facility during the instructional day are required to be supervised by the parent/guardian. An example of this would be if a parent/guardian is attending a teacher conference.
If a parent/guardian is taking advantage of our volunteer opportunities, please make sure that you are only visiting the area you are authorized to visit. We welcome all support and volunteers and we want to continue making sure that we are being safe and respectful of all spaces in the building.
Thank you PTO for organizing the Moore Color Craze!
Veteran's Day Information
On November 11, Moore is celebrating Veteran's. If your student has a Veteran that would like to be recognized at Moore by the students and staff, please review the announcement with a QR code and the pre-registration letter below. The 5th grade students will honor them by performing during their large group time. Veteran's, along with their Moore student, and a 5th grade parent may attend the event in the cafeteria at 8:45 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to celebrating the dedication and committement of our United States Veterans.
Please use the QR code and complete the form by November 8, 2024.
Moore Book Fair
Thank you parents for supporting our schoolwide Fall book fair! Your students absolutely loved being able to purchase new books and other items. Literacy is a very big focus in elementary school and when parents and teachers work together to support it, students will succeed tremendously. If you would like to support the Moore library or have questions, please reach out to our amazing librarian, Mrs. Katz. Mrs. Katz gets to support 2 elementary campuses this year and we are so blessed to have her!
Parent Reminders
Maintaining a safe environment inside and outside of the campus is a top priority. If you have any concerns about your child, please let us know and address Moore staff right away. If you are in a rush to get your child to school or to pick your child up, please make sure to follow all policies that are outlined in the parent handbook, the Moore Quick Reference Guide, and traffic patterns/laws. We will continue to maintain a safe and professional environment for all students and staff and look forward to professional communication regarding any concerns that are brought to our attention. We appreicate your continued support.
If you are in a vehicle and you want to pick up your child from a walker gate, you must park on the street. The Moore parking lot is for visitors to the building and for staff. There is only one entrance to the parking lot during car rider. Parents cannot enter the exit lane to get access to the parking lot. Thank you for supporting a safe environment and following the campus protocols and procedures.

Student Attendance
If you need to confirm a student's attendance, please visit HAC (Home Access Center) or contact the homeroom teacher by email. This will allow you to get quick access to check your child's daily attendance.
5th Grade Vinyl Prints
Please note: Once the vinyl is purchased, you will need to fill out the form that is on the emailed receipt. This will give us the student's name and their icon choices. If you don't go in and fill out the form, we won't know what name they want on it.
Marquee Birthdays
Student birthdays on the marquee can be purchased via SchoolCash. We can schedule birthdays that occur over breaks and over the summer when purchased in advance. This is a fun way to recognize your child's birthday! The graphic will be on the marquee as part of the rotating graphics. It will post the day of their birthday and remain in rotation for 48 hours. The cost is $20.00 and all funds support PBIS. This will be ongoing all year! If you choose, you can take a picture of your student next to the marquee!
Nurse Information
If you have any items of clothing, especially in PK/Kinder size, the nurse would greatly appreciate the donation. Mrs. Derosa is in need of items, mainly pants and underwear. We truly appreciate any items you can give!
