Thank You, Volunteers!
After four days of fantastic sales, the PBIS Team is pleased to say that we have SOLD OUT of candy grams and flowers with over 200 flowers and 800 candy grams set to be delivered tomorrow on Valentine's Day! We absolutely could not have prepared everything without the help of our awesome parent volunteers who took time out of their days to lend a hand. It has definitely been a team effort and we hope to see lots of smiles around the school during delivery tomorrow.
THANK YOU PTA and PARENT VOLUNTEERS!!!
Food Drive
Ordean East Student Council is hosting a food drive! The drive will run from March 3-13 and benefit CHUM. Your generosity can help change lives. Stay tuned for more information and check out the flyer below!
Class Announcements
6th Grade - M&Ms and Probability
6th graders enjoyed M & M Probability day this week. Each student was given a mini bag of M & M's. Students performed 50 trials to determine the experimental probability of each color M & M occurring. They then dumped out the bag and compared that to the theoretical probability of each color occurring. We kept careful track of data. Students collectively performed 7300 trials this year. Orange was the most prevalent M & M color, and brown was the least. Thanks to the families that donated M & M's for our tasty math lesson!
6th Grade Assembly - featuring EHS students!
On Wednesday, the 6th grade came together in the auditorium to celebrate their many successes from Semester 1 including 240 students making Honor/Merit Roll, over 100 students with 0 tardies, and 94% of students without ANY major behavior referrals! We also hosted several returning East High School students to talk about the importance of building strong skills in middle school. They spoke wonderfully and we look forward to hosting them again after break for our 7th and 8th grade groups.
