What is the purpose of the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment?
MAP is a norm referenced measure of student growth over time. MAP assessments, joined with other data points, provide detailed, actionable data about where each child is on his or her unique learning path. On Tuesday each teacher will pass out goal sheet graphs to share with each student in their class. Their graph is a prediction model that will give an estimate of where they should perform. Their goal is to meet the predetermined goal or beyond whether that is on grade level or not. We will celebrate MAP growth in the near future and we would love for them to be a part. Please partner with us and ask your child where they were last year in Spring for MAP and their new FALL goal.
