1st/2nd Grades: Matilda "Tilly" N.

Tilly is an excellent role model for her peers. She always does her best work and is ready to learn every day. She has a positive attitude when challenged and an inquisitive mind. Very proud of you Tilly!

3rd/4th Grades: EV B.

EV has earned our Student of the Month award this month. She logs into class early every day, participates in our discussions, and has turned in every assignment. I am so proud of her effort and kindness to all of her classmates. Keep up the amazing work EV!

5th/6th Grades: Coral D.B.

Coral has been nominated by her classmates as a role model who is kind, fully present, and “always answering questions.” Coral never misses a beat or LIVE class @ 5:30 A.M. on Hawaii time. She’s always on the R.I.S.E.!

7th-10th Grades: Olivia K.

Olivia is not only a true student of the month, she is also our most improved student. Her success is a testament to how hard work, perseverance, and working through challenges pay off! She is a leader who participates in discussions, helps others, and gets all her work done on time with a high degree of accuracy.

Hearing Van

The hearing van will be at South Tahoe Middle School on Monday, October 3rd. All 2nd, 5th, and 8th graders should go and have their hearing tested. Elevated students can check in with the office at STMS at 1 pm to get tested. Parents should stay with their students as the test will only take about 5 minutes.

Climbing Gym Opportunity

Climb Up! and Ascend programs will begin weekly Free Climb days on the second Thursday of each month from 6-8 PM at Blue Granite Climbing Gym. This will be supported by TCC staff and Blue Granite coaches. This is a program targeted at underserved, lower-income youth and their families as well as anyone who has barriers to accessing climbing. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx are highly encouraged to attend. Come learn to climb, belay, and have a great time! Please note: this is not a kid drop-off event and parents are expected to stay and participate. Tutoring for All

Tutoring For All: Gov. Newsom announced this last week and it's pretty incredible. There is a FREE tutoring website for any/all K-12 students in the state. Check it out here:

Students will need to create an account to have access to all the tutoring opportunities including math support, writing help, and help for English learners as well.
