As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for each and every one of you. I am truly thankful to work with such a dedicated staff and community who are invaluable in creating a nurturing environment for our students.
I wish you all a joyous holiday season filled with happiness, relaxation, and cherished moments with loved ones. May your travels be safe, and may you return refreshed and ready for the new year ahead.

For immediate access to routine or crisis services, please call the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225. GCAL is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to help you or someone you care for in a crisis. GCAL professionals will:
- Provide telephonic crisis intervention services
- Dispatch mobile crisis teams
- Assist individuals in finding an open crisis or detox bed across the State
- Link individuals with urgent appointment services
In addition, GCAL will help you to access a State Funded provider in your area in a non-emergency as well.
A nationally accredited Health Care Call Center, crisis center, and partner in the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Behavioral Health Link Crisis call Center is proud to operate the Georgia Crisis and Access Line.

Mid-Year Transcripts to Colleges
Seniors, please be advised that semester one grades will not post to transcripts until after the winter break. If your institution is requesting mid-year grades, please make note in the Special Instructions section of the transcript request form that you would like your transcript sent after semester one grades are posted. If you applied to your institution using the Common App, there is no need to make a request for mid-year transcripts. Counselors will send those via Common App when semester one grades are posted and checked. Contact your school counselor with any questions.
HS Lady Canes Soccer Preseason Conditioning & Tryout Dates
Preseason conditioning is open to girls interested in trying out for the Lady Canes Soccer Team this coming January. Conditioning starts on Tuesday December 3rd from 4pm-5pm on the field and continues on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays while school is in session until January 21st. Tryouts will be held January 21st - 24th. Conditioning is optional but strongly encouraged, especially for those athletes not participating in a winter sport. January- 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16
Tryout dates: January 21, 22, 23, 24

If you do not want it on social media, there is a question where you can indicate that. This helps us college data on where our students are going after high school. Scholarship Database:
Each year our CHS Counselors create a database containing scholarship opportunities for our students. The updated scholarship listings can be found in the link below. The database is fluid and will be added to throughout the year. Please reach out to your CHS Counselor or stop by the Futures Center, if you have any questions or need help applying for a scholarship.

Senior Yard Signs Now Available for Purchase!
