👚 A.J. Uniform Swap Shop
WHEN: Open Friday, December 13th 7:15-8:00AM
WHERE: By the gym, on the middle floor.
Kids grow so quickly—it only makes sense to share outgrown uniforms with each other! The Swap Shop is an easy way to pass on gently used school uniforms, to find new-to-you uniforms for free, or to bring your old ones and get some new ones!
The Swap Shop will be open one morning a month to pick out new clothes (usually the third Friday of the month). Clothes to share can be brought to the front office at any time.
👕 Swap Shop
Our AJW Swap Shop is in need of cold weather items. Bring your gently used long sleeved collar shirts, sweaters/outer layers, and pants! Please be sure they follow our uniform guidelines. Thank you!
🥼 Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located by the cafeteria. Now that the weather is colder, the coats and hats are starting to pile up. Please remind your child to check the lost and found for any items that have not made their way home. All lost and found items from before Thanksgiving break will be donated on Friday, January 17th.
🏃🏻♀️ Boosterthon
Get excited! Boosterthon kicks off on January 9th and the fun run is January 17th! Be on the lookout for more information.
🎪 Robot Ruckus
Mark your calendars! Our Spring carnival, Robot Ruckus, will be on March 28, 2025. We are so excited to be hosting Robot Ruckus again this school year! If you would like to help volunteer, please reach out via the PTA website or email allie.munafo@gmail.com.
December's Book of the Month
For the month of December, we will be focusing on the character trait of courage. Having courage means to have the ability to overcome fears and uncertainty, and to do so with the strength of mind to keep going.
The book for December is, After the Fall, by Dan Santat is about Humpty Dumpty’s journey to overcoming his fears and anxiety after falling off a wall. He’s put back together, but there are some wounds that bandages and glue can’t fix. He’s scared to go back to his favorite spot on top of the wall to watch birds because he fears heights. One day, he sees a paper plane and decides to make one of his own. Even though he fails many times, he perseveres to make the perfect airplane. When the plane lands on top of the wall, Humpty climbs up to retrieve it and conquers his fear of heights.
Homelink Activity:
Students can talk to a family member about a challenge they faced and how they overcame it, then return with one sentence to share in class the next day.
