On Friday, fourth and fifth graders wrapped up our first service project of the year. The project involved collecting donations to give to the animal shelter in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals. Kathryn Ravenscraft from the Bangor Humane society attended morning prayer at Saint John's Campus and talked to students about how their donations help in the care of the animals. She also brought with her Pops, a current resident of the shelter and happy recipient of some of the treats. Thank you to all of our families who graciously donated to this worthy cause. Congratulations goes out to Maddie Sullivan for her outstanding performance at the Brewer Cross Country meet last week. Not only did she place first for the girls, with a time of 10:31.60 for the 1.6 mile course but she now holds the female record for the Traditions Golf Course run. GO SAINTS!
