10 day staff allotment
Due to our enrollment number not meeting our projection, we have been informed that we will be losing a teacher. This is always a complicated process as changes will be made to the master schedule and possible teaching assignments. This also means that schedule changes for many students will occur. Once notified of the content area, we will communicate the timeline for schedule changes.
We understand that schedule changes can be difficult for students as they are solidifying their daily routine. However, in these situations, they must occur. Emails requesting that a student does not receive a schedule change will not be honored.

CHANGING YOUR STUDENT’S TRANSPORTATION
Students are assigned a bus based on the primary address in Infinite Campus. To ride any bus other than the assigned bus, you need approval from FCS transportation. Please contact Suzanne Schwitters at north transportation for consideration. schwitterssc@fultonschools.org.
STUDENT CHECK OUT 101
IT’S EASY Most dismissals that occur during the school day are pre-planned and can be a smooth process following these easy steps.
CHECK OUT
1. Write a note outlining the following –who (full name please) you are checking out, why you are checking out, date and time you are checking out, then sign and give a contact number. Also, please note that the latest a student should check out is 3:45 pm. This avoids conflict with buses and carpool drivers arriving for dismissal.
2. Please send the note with your student on the day of the pre-planned early dismissal and have them report to the office upon. The note will be approved and will then serve as a pass out of class at the noted time. Your student is then instructed to report to the front office at your stated time so be sure this accurately represents when you want them to be at the front office.
3. Check out now requires that you scan the QR code on the YELLOW flyer at the front doors with your smartphone camera and complete the ENTIRE questionnaire including, the taking a picture of your ID, then hit SUBMIT. Once approved, ring the bell. 4. If your checking a student out for the remainder of the day for Dr appt please scan and email that Dr. note to CMSfrontoffice@fultonschools.org
CHECK IN
1.Please scan the QR code on the window at the front doors. If you are checking in WITH a Dr note, please see at the bottom of the Check in/out form where you can take a picture of the note to attach to the Check In submission.
2. Once submitted and approved, please ring the bell to show the Approval from the app and direct your student to the office for a pass to class.
ATTENDANCE: PARENTS, SCHOOL, AND AUTOMATION
An ‘automatic phone parent notification’ is generated when any absence is entered by a teacher during the class day. Please submit a virtual note (to cmsfrontoffice@fultonschools.org). You may attach a scan or picture of a Doctor’s excuse to the email for additional documentation. Examples of excusable absences are illness, funeral attendance, and religious observance. The average time from the absence to the correction for an excusable absence is 1-2 days. When you receive this call and if you have already communicated an explanation of the absence, no further action is needed.
Should you wish to confirm that your student’s attendance is accurately logged, you may check Home Access Center a few days after an absence. Simply run your mouse over the day to see more detail. Remember that the beginning of the day starts promptly at 8:55. CMS appreciates your participation in this process to assure maximum instructional time.

We have a beautiful and fruitful garden on campus! AVID students help with the garden tending, and the produce is distributed to CMS families participating in the Huskies Helping Huskies program. Please take a look next time you are at school and let us know if you are interested in helping. Please don't take any of the vegetables and please don't let your dogs use the garden as a potty. HHH Kicks Off a New Fundraising Event
Huskies Helping Huskies (HHH) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works in partnership with CMS to address hunger and increase student engagement. We rely on donations to help in-need CMS students and families with school supplies, groceries, toiletries, and more.
This year HHH kicks off a new fundraising tradition. On November 9th, we’re hosting a tailgate and auction at Brookfield Country Club to raise money for HHH. Your ticket gets you access to the fun, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and two drink tickets. We’ll have college football on TV while we browse and bid on auction items donated by generous businesses and families in the community. We hope to foster connections and have some fun while raising enough money to fund our distributions for the year. Tickets are limited so buy yours today!
Learn more about HHH on the website, and we always welcome donations via PayPal or Venmo.
