Guys Night Out

Thank you Sward PTA for planning such a wonderful event for the school community. "The event was a huge success with over 100 student participants. There was nothing but smiles and laughter the entire night. All the participants including the adults truly enjoyed this night of pizza, games, and good company."

A Decade of Service

The 10th annual Feed 6 event was held last Saturday, December 9th! OLHMS community members, including some incredible OLHMS scholars and their parents, took time out of their busy schedules to give back to the local community.

Xello!

Our 8th grade counselor Mrs. Vanessa Follmar visited all four of the 8th grade ELA classrooms to introduce Xello, an educational program for career development. Additionally, Xello is a personalized educational program where students gain insight on local and federal requirements for college and career readiness.

Second Annual Paint and Sip!

Last Thursday Covington's PTO hosted a delightful Paint and Sip event for our families, blending artistic expression with holiday cheer. Families enjoyed a night of painting holiday-themed pictures while sipping on delicious hot cocoa. This event allows us to create an opportunity for families to come together in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Early Learning Center Coming June 2024

The Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Board of Education recently approved renovation and construction plans for an Early Learning Center (ELC) and Family Resource Center at the former Gaddis School and current administrative building. Construction will begin soon with the goal of having the ELC ready for tours by June 15, 2024.

Planning the Winter Music Program

A Visit from the Grinch

A special visitor was spotted wondering the halls at Hometown today. The halls were filled with green and cheerful laughter as everyone is getting ready for the holiday season. Students had so much fun seeing this famous character come to life in their classrooms.

Jingle Bells and Coyotes Sing!

Students did an incredible job at the Winter Concert on Friday afternoon. The chorus and K-2 students performed songs that they have been working hard on for family. If you missed the show in person, you can watch the concert on YouTube.
