Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we move into the month of March, we are excited about the opportunities ahead for our students. The spring season brings fresh energy, and we are seeing our learners continue to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. It's a wonderful time to reflect on the growth that has taken place so far this year, and we're grateful for the ongoing support from our entire school community.

One important matter I'd like to bring to your attention is the fact that we have two parent representative openings on our 2025-26 School Governance Council. The School Governance Council ("SGC") plays a vital role in helping shape the direction of our school and ensuring that we are meeting the needs of all students. If you're interested in running, or would like to nominate someone, please reach out to us. Your involvement would be invaluable as we continue to work together to create the best environment for our children.

These RCMS 7th Graders were inducted into the Jr. Beta Club! To be eligible for Jr. Beta club a student must obtain a 93% average in all subjects and complete service project requirements.

192 of Ridgeview's incredible music students performed on stage at Universal Studios Resort in Orlando Florida. Orchestra, Band and Chorus all took the stage thanks to the leadership of Mr. Leo, Coach Hudson, Mr. Robinson and Ms. Owens. Report is in: they sounded amazing!

It is the season for Large Group Performance Evaluations ("LGPE") of our Ridgeview Music Programs. Please see dates below and be on the lookout for emails from your student's music teachers.

March 11th & 12th: Band LGPE (date determined by grade)

March 13th: Performing Orchestra LGPE

March 13th: 7th Grade Advanced Orchestra LGPE

March 14th: 8th Grade Advanced Orchestra LGPE

Parents and Guardians! We invite you to begin your learning journey in your child's homeroom where you will experience your student's favorite MYP Unit of study during this school year. Some students will be exhibiting in their connection classes or service-learning projects by the Junior Beta Club in the Media Center. Also, music groups from band, orchestra, and chorus will be performing in the front office foyer area as well as foyer areas outside of the gym and cafeteria.

Once in your scholar's homeroom, you will also be given the opportunity to visit all your student's team rooms to see all that has been happening this year!

We are quickly approaching the close of our third quarter grading period. Now is the time to check with your students and discuss any missing assignments. Grades will close on March 14th. Teachers will make sure final grades are entered and visible in infinite campus by March 22nd.

Ms. Entrup is in need of volunteers to help sort and distribute books on March 10th between 8:15 and 11:30. Please email entrup@fultonschools.org if you can help (no need to stay the whole time!).

The RCMS Foundation is responsible for investing over $100,000 into our school each year focused on our music and athletic programs. We are already looking ahead towards next school year and have a few open positions on our 2025-26 Foundation Board. If you are interested in learning more about a Foundation Board position, please email Julie Royal at julieroyal@gmail.com

RCMS Yearbooks are currently on sale- Online Only. The last day for online sales is Saturday, April 5th. There will be no sales after April 5th and we will not have extra copies available for purchase.

The Deadline for purchasing 8th Grade recognition ads is March 19th.

Do you have a rising 7th or 8th grader who is interested in Cheerleading for Jr. Raiders Football in Fall 2025? Jr. Raiders is currently gauging interest for a possible cheer squad! If you are interested, please email JrRaidersCheer25@gmail.com with your student's name and grade for next school year (Fall 2025) along with a parent/guardian name, email and phone number.

Rising 9th Graders: Tryouts for Riverwood Football and Basketball Cheerleading teams for the 2025-2026 school year are set for April 2025. The deadline to register and upload updated physical and insurance information into RankOne is March 25th. No late forms will be accepted.
