DISCOVERY 4TH GRADE - GRAPHIC SHORT STORY WORK
The fourth grade students worked on demonstrating their knowledge of the Abenakis' creation tale by turning it into a graphic short story. They made comic panels to retell the story of how the first people of this land explained the formation of the Adirondacks, Green Mountains, and Bitawbakw or Lake Champlain as we now call it. The story also explains how the rivers of the Champlain Basin and the land we call home came to be. The students we pleased to learn that the Abenaki believed in a Champ like creature that was created to protect the lake. It was a great way to learn about the proud traditions of the Abenaki while giving context to learning about our local environment. Link to 29 Pictures.

7/8 SOCCER GAME WITH WESTFORD
Ms. Brooks took an abundance of pictures of the game against Westford on Friday evening, September 15th. Although some of the pictures are a bit blurry or effected by the sunlight on the lens, the photos do an excellent job of capturing the spirit and energy of the game. Link to 160 Photos.
5/6 SOCCER GAME WITH FRANKLIN
This game took place on September 14th. Ms. Sue Smith was there to capture some images and video clips. Link to 71 Pictures.
OPEN HOUSE: THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST
We are hoping for a large turnout of families who come to say hello to their students' teachers and see their classrooms.

Dear Families,
The Voyager Team is excited to reopen the Raider’s Treasure Chest! Our opening day will be Friday, September 22nd. We will be open for students during their lunchtime each Friday. We are limiting students to no more than two items per visit. Most items are priced under a dollar and no item is priced over two dollars. If you choose to have your child shop at the school store they would need no more than a dollar or two.
The goal of the school store is to provide all of our students with experience handling money and balancing needs with wants. For school store employees, there is also the chance to order, stock, and interact with the public. Our students are incredibly proud of the store. We work hard to provide inexpensive products
We also have students working on researching greener products and packaging as well. The school store is a part of the Voyager experience and we hope it will be a part of yours as well.
PICTURE DAYS
School photos are taken of all students and staff members each September for record-keeping purposes and for those who want to purchase professionally taken photos. This year, the picture days will occur on September 26th & 27th. Link to the schedule for photo taking by learning community
