Have No Fear The Wolf Pack Is Here!
A message from the Principal
Hello Pack!
WELCOME BACK and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope this message finds you well and that you all enjoyed a restful, joyful, and rejuvenating winter break. As we return to school, I am excited to welcome our students and families back to a new year full of opportunities, growth, and success.
The new year brings with it fresh goals, renewed energy, and a chance to build on the achievements of the past months. Our school remains committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we begin this next quarter, let’s continue to work together as partners in our students’ education. Your support and involvement play a crucial role in their success, and I’m confident that, together, we’ll make the remainder of the school year productive and meaningful.
Please stay tuned for updates on upcoming events, programs, and opportunities to engage with our school community. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember!
Once again, welcome back, and here’s to a fantastic second half of the school year!
Warm regards,
Dr. Jaramillo – Principal
Illness Guidelines for School:
- Children who have temperatures of 100.4 (Fahrenheit) or above should not attend school. Children should remain home until their temperature has been normal (98.6 degrees), without any fever reducing medication for up to 24 hours.
- Children who have cold symptoms such as: a constant runny nose, with abnormal color (green, yellow, or white) or thick nasal discharge, constant coughing, or lung congestion should not be in school.
- Children who have been diagnosed with an infection and have been placed on medication should not return to school until they have taken the medication for up to 24 hours after the first dose.
- Children who have had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours should not attend school for up to 24 hours.
- Children who have an undiagnosed skin rash or open skin lesion should not be in school.
- Children who have red, inflamed eyes with a thick discharge and have a fever and/or behavioral changes should not be in school.
If any of the above signs and symptoms are present at school, the parent will be contacted to pick up the child. We do not want children to miss school, but keeping sick children home will improve everyone's attendance and health in the long run.
If any of the above signs and symptoms last longer than 48 hours, please contact your child's school nurse before they return to school.
If your child is hospitalized or treated for an infectious disease, please provide your child's school a written statement from the health care provider that your child is no longer contagious and is cleared to return to school.
- Children who have temperatures of 100.4 (Fahrenheit) or above should not attend school. Children should remain home until their temperature has been normal (98.6 degrees), without any fever reducing medication for up to 24 hours.
Welcome to the New Year Pack!
Happy New Year to all our wonderful school families! As we step into 2025, it's the perfect time to reflect on the past year and set new goals for growth and learning. We’re excited for the opportunities ahead and look forward to partnering with you in your child’s educational journey. New Year's resolutions aren’t just for adults—children can also benefit from the process of setting goals. By encouraging your child to set personal goals, you help them develop important life skills like responsibility, self-motivation, and perseverance.
One of the best ways to help your child set goals is to make the process fun and manageable. Start by discussing what they hope to achieve in the coming months—whether it's reading more books, improving in a favorite subject, or mastering a new skill. Encourage your child to set specific, achievable goals (e.g., "I will read 10 pages every night" rather than "I will read more"). Break down big goals into smaller steps, and help your child track their progress along the way. Celebrate their successes, no matter how small, and remind them that mistakes are part of learning. With your support, your child will develop the confidence to set and achieve their own goals throughout the year!
Let’s work together to make 2025 the best year yet!
Mrs. Wood
Happy New Year! As we kick off 2025, we are excited to continue exploring new topics and learning together. This month, we will read texts about what kinds of things you can find growing in nature? In math, we will be focusing on comparing height, length and weight. In science we are focusing on pushes and pulls. At home please continue practicing letter names, letter sounds, nonsense words, handwriting and high frequency words to help develop important reading skills with your child. We look forward to all the joy, discovery, and progress that the new year will bring!
Happy New Year to all our First Grade families! We cannot believe we have started the 2nd semester of school. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with lots of time spent with family and friends. Thank you to everyone who made our winter parties a success. We greatly appreciate all of your contributions! In reading, we will continue our work in Unit 3 and the key concept is "What time is it?" We will be working on understanding and transferring words/skills we have learned into text. We will also continue our work with sight words. Please practice sight words at home. During the third quarter in math, we will continue in Module 3 learning about properties of operations to make easier problems. We are looking forward to a great second semester. As always, please let your child's teacher know if you have any questions or concerns.

~ Second Grade Team
What do you say on January 1st? Last year just seems like yesterday! In the month of January, we have lots of learning happening. Our genre focus will be Realistic Fiction and Expository text. Our reading skills will be compare and contrast, point of view, prefixes, and context clues. For writing, we will continue to work on our writing strategy RACES. For math, the students will use place value models, the properties of operations, and familiar facts to multiply multiples of 10 by one-digit numbers. We’ll begin during the third week of the new year month into Module 4, students recognize area as an attribute of two-dimensional regions. For science, students will be ending with the last investigations to chapter 5: Why does the train change from floating to falling? Concluding with the Balancing Forces Unit Assessment reflecting on all five chapters.
Our 4th grade team hopes everyone had a wonderful holiday break. We are excited for our new units coming up into the new year. In reading & writing we will be diving into different historical fiction pieces and focusing on the point of view of each piece. In social studies, we are moving into our next chapter of explorers and fur traders. The students have been loving social studies and learning all about Colorado. In math, we are continuing multiplication of two digit by two digit numbers and will be starting our fraction unit soon! In science, students are learning all about vision and light for our new unit. We have some fun experiments planned for students to see how their eyeball works with light.
We wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers and support we received for our snowman stem day and the parties. We appreciate all your help. Thank you!
5th Grade Wolfpack Parents,
We are looking forward to seeing each of your children in the latter half of their 5th grade year in 2025. Just five more months until they are sixth graders! That means we have a packed five months as we move into 2025. Students will have to be more responsible moving into this new year for their academics as it starts to become a bit more challenging. They will have to give their full focus and dedication to what is expected from all 5th grade students in their self-accountability. Collective absences from school will show on their academics. Please be mindful that this weighs on their understanding and comprehension in each class. We are excited to continue to work alongside you in supporting your child academically. We cannot do this without you. Thank you for all that you do for your child to support them in school!
Happy New Year!
