A community letter from Ms. Schuler, 2nd Grade Teacher
A Farewell to Backpacks and Hello to Flip Flops!
I hope this letter finds you well and ready to embrace the warmth and freedom of the summer season!
As we bid adieu to another whirlwind school year, I wanted to take a moment to share a sentiment of gratitude for the amazing Inspire community! Without your support and generosity, we couldn’t do what we do! Whether it's volunteering at school events, chaperoning field trips, stocking the teacher’s lounge, or simply offering a kind word of encouragement, each act of kindness has ripple effects that resonate far beyond the immediate moment.
In the classroom, we've witnessed the spark of curiosity ignite as students delved into new concepts, explored diverse perspectives, and discovered their own unique strengths and passions. Each day has been an opportunity for growth, both academically and personally, and I'm continually inspired by the determination and enthusiasm our students bring to their learning journey.
Personally, I can’t help but to reflect back on my own daughter’s elementary school journey. She is continuing on from 5th grade and headed to McAuliffe Middle School next year (insert mama tears). I know that she has had endless opportunities, boundless support, and is prepared for the big transition. Over her six years in elementary school, she has grown so much, and I am excited for her to experience new opportunities, but I can’t help but to be anxious. Will she remember her locker combination (I still have dreams where I can’t remember my combination)? Will she have enough time in between classes? Will she make new friends? It will be hard for me to loosen the reins, but I know she needs to develop her own responsibilities and independence. As grown ups, all we can do is provide emotional support, reassurance, and a listening ear during this time of change.
As we prepare to part ways for the summer, I encourage you to take time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with your loved ones. Whether you're embarking on a grand adventure (my family is off to Peru!) or enjoying the simple pleasures of home, I hope the coming months are filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments together. No matter how far you roam, Inspire will be waiting for you next fall with open arms (and probably a few rules)!
Take care, stay cool, and see you on the flip side!
- Love, Mrs. Schuler

Cultural Night, 5/22/24, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Cultural craft tables will be set up from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the gym. Stay for cultural performances at 6:00pm! There will be a food truck outside if you'd like to purchase food.
Yearbook Distribution and Signing Day, 5/23/24
If your family purchased a yearbook, your child will receive it during Morning Meeting on Thursday, 5/23. Please remind your child to take care of their book and make sure they put it in their backpack after Morning Meeting. Teachers will remind students as well. The more they hear it, the more likely it'll stick! We do our best with checking name accuracy, grammar, spelling, etc. We reached out to families that indicated "no media", and we have a system of utilizing multiple staff to verify accuracy. However, there may still be mistakes. If so, we apologize for that. Note: If your family did not purchase a yearbook, students will receive an autograph page to participate.
NO SCHOOL, 5/27/24
There is no school on Monday, 5/27 due to Memorial Day.
