Beginning today, February 18, students and teachers across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. Students in grades 4 - 8 will complete the survey during the week of March 10. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of our school. As a parent, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. For more information, please click HERE.

Pre-registration is open for children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, and are planning to attend kindergarten in the fall. Please begin this process by clicking HERE.

Kindergarten New Family Night is on March 13 from 5:00-6:00 pm in the Jr. High Cafeteria. This is an opportunity to learn more about kindergarten and meet the teachers. This event will also be live-streamed.

Please pass on this information to anyone else you know who has a child turning 5 on or before September 1.

Oak Grove will be hosting a variety of Summer Camp offerings for students during the weeks of June 23-June 27 and July 21-July 25. We are transitioning to a new registration system this year that will be available in March, but we wanted to provide our families with the camp dates as soon as possible. Camps include music camp, sports camp, art camp, English Immersion camp, video editing, and a camp targeted for incoming kindergarteners and 1st graders. More detailed descriptions of these camps will be released in the coming weeks. Contact Assistant Principal Joe O’Malley (omalley@ogschool.org) with any questions.

Lake County Tech Campus is excited to announce this year’s Future Quest middle school career exploration days! This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to experience career opportunities. The event will be on either April 8th, 9th, or 10th, depending on availability for the majority of interested students. If your child is interested in attending, please fill out this form to help us begin the planning process.

Families can expect to receive CogAT reports via email in early March.
