We are excited to introduce Mr. Eric Cleland as the newest member of our school community, serving as a district-wide school security officer. Students and staff can expect to see Mr. Cleland throughout our buildings, dedicated to maintaining a safe and inviting atmosphere for all.

About Mr. Cleland:

• Eric Cleland possesses extensive experience in public service and security. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University in 1998. His professional journey began at the Loysville Secure Treatment Unit, where he worked with adjudicated youth first as a Youth Development Aide and subsequently as a Youth Development Counselor.
• Mr. Cleland then dedicated 25 years to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections as a Parole Agent. His extensive professional training includes certifications as a Defensive Tactics Trainer and expertise in Firearms, Tactical Operations, Night and Dim Light Firearms, and Room Entry techniques.
• In his free time, Mr. Cleland leads an active lifestyle that includes hunting, mountain biking, playing slow-pitch softball, weightlifting, and playing his guitar.
  
  

Let's extend a warm welcome to Mr. Cleland as he joins our school district! We are thrilled to have him on our team, dedicated to ensuring safety and security for everyone.

Reminder - 11th-GRADE PHYSICALS Are Due

The Pennsylvania school code mandates medical examinations for students in grades K, 6, and 11. Physicals are to be completed within 4 months prior to the start of the school year. Adams County 4-H is inviting all 4-H & FFA members in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York Co. To attend "Exploring Careers in Agriculture" event that will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. At the New Oxford High School: 130 Berlin Road, New Oxford PA, 17350.

This is going to be a great event for all youth! Attendees can expect to learn from presenters with careers in Agriculture, talk one on one with presenters, participate in a scavenger hunt related to available careers, and network with other 4-H & FFA members! There will also be information on trade schools and colleges that offer agricultural programs as well.
