We are the MIDDLE

As we wind down our year in the building, there are always lots of things going on behind the scenes. I would like to take a moment and give a shout out to our custodial crew who works year round to make sure our building is ready for our students and staff as well as completing projects. I would like to thank the members of our District Office who keep the wheels going while we are gone for a few weeks in the summer. In the summer, there are usual tasks, but additional responsibilities as the student are not in school and other things are able to be accomplished without interrupting the learning environment!

Washington Middle School

Last year, during Homecoming week, we gave out spirit awards each day for the students in each grade level that showed the most spirit! The kids were so excited to pick their trophies and showed them off with pride. Here is a picture of a few examples!

We are looking for volunteers to use their creative juices to create fun and crazy trophies for our students. Last year, a couple of volunteers work together on the project.

Please email me if you have any interested in helping out! It really meant a lot to the students.

Last year, we kicked off our school year with our 1st Annual Back to School Bash. Now we are BACK and preparing to celebrate the start of the new school year. The date for the Back to School Bash will be Thursday, August 15, from 5:00-7:00. To make this event a success, we need your assistance!

There are various ways to volunteer such as helping with stations, to gather prizes, etc. If you would like to volunteer to help, please reach out to Mrs. Kennedy by emailing her at kennedyk@glendiveschools.org or by calling the school.

We have published the school supply lists for next year on our school website. You can go to our website, "Menu", and "Documents" or go to this link to get your there in a jiffy! Also, BOSS has our supply lists as well. I have also attached them below!

It feels like stores are beginning their school supply sales earlier than ever, so we hope this may help you!.

Parents look out for the date of the 1st day of practice for Volleyball, Football and Cross Country. These typically start the first week of school. We will get more information out when we have those dates set.

We are happy 6th grade students are able to participate in some Fall sports. They can participate in Volleyball and Cross Country.

Keep your eyes out for information regarding the sport physicals clinic day done by GMC. Our student athletes are required to have a current physical completed after May 1st, 2024 to participate.

We are a 6th-8th middle school in addition to a Special Education Pre-K program in Glendive, MT. GO DEMONS!
