Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
We have been working hard over the last few years to stay connected with families, and our broader Loveland City School District Community. One of the important ways we do that, is through our Community Advisory Team (CAT). It brings together parents, staff, and community members, for a series of meetings designed to help you learn more about the district, and provide us feedback. The CAT serves as a bridge between our community and district leadership.
This year, we had about 80 people who spent time with us, learning about important topics like our Ohio School Report Card, student mental health initiatives, district finances, and our work on college and career readiness.
We have four meetings planned for the 2025-26 school year:
October 15, 2025, at 6 pm
November 12, 2025, at 6 pm
February 11, 2026, at 6 pm
March 11, 2026, at 6 pm
Meetings will last about an hour and include presentations, discussion, and feedback. The Community Advisory Team is open to any Loveland City School District resident. If you are interested in joining the CAT, please apply by following this link to a brief Google form. Please apply by April 30, 2025.
Thank you to everyone who served on the CAT this year, and we look forward to more great conversations!

State Funding Town Hall
By now, you should have received a postcard announcing at State School Funding Town Hall later this month. We’ll be discussing the state budget, and the impact it could have on our district. Governor Mike DeWine’s budget proposal would cut funding for Loveland City Schools and many other public school districts. Over our Five-Year Forecast, our district would receive $2.5 million less in state funding.
We have launched a page on our website at lovelandschools.org/lobby. It provides more information about the potential cuts to state funding. You will also find three funding requests district leaders are making to state lawmakers:
Protect the “Guarantee”
Fully Implement the Fair School Funding Plan
Increase the State Share Minimum to 20%
These requests would prevent funding cuts for Loveland City School District and build a foundation for a better funding system.
Join us for a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, April 16, at 6 pm at Loveland Middle School. We’ll provide more information about our funding requests and update you on the state budget process.
Water Saver Showdown
Support our Loveland High School students in the Caring for our Watersheds contest. Reduce your water usage, and gain a chance to win a custom rain barrel. Follow this link to a Google Form to track your water usage and the steps you’ve taken to reduce water consumption. Complete the form again from April 20-22, and if you’ve saved at least 10 gallons of water, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a custom rain barrel. Support our Loveland High School students as they compete against districts around Ohio!
Purple Up! For Military Kids
April is the Month of the Military Child. Loveland City Schools will honor students who have a close family member serving in the armed forces by wearing purple on Tuesday, April 15, for Purple Up! Day. Join us for this day of respect and honor. #beLOVEland
