Marian Central Catholic High School
From the Desk of Mr. Brad Williams
This Friday marks the third week of quarter two. We hope that everyone is off to a good start in the second quarter of the year and ready to head into the holiday season with confidence and determination.
Like other schools, October and November are busy months at Marian. In addition to the transitioning from quarter one to quarter two, we also saw the end of our fall sports season and the beginning of our winter sports season. Congratulations to our fall sport athletes and good luck to all our winter sport athletes! We also transitioned from polo season into sweater season. The ladies and gentlemen of Marian Central are looking studious and respectful in their new uniform look. Thank you for the help and support in promoting our uniform policy. It truly does add to the positive learning environment of Marian.
I would like to make a special shoutout to our Music Director, Mr. Andrew Ossler, and all the students who did excellently at their concert here at Marian last week. Great job Mr. Ossler and great job to our talented students!
Lastly, a very special thank you to all the parents who attended parent-teacher conferences. We know that in this day and age, families are probably busier than ever and carving out time to attend conferences is challenging. Being able to meet face to face and connect with the goal of what is in the best interest of the students is truly a blessing and one we are happy to help facilitate here at Marian. Please know that if any parent wants to connect to talk about the well-being of their student, faculty and administration are happy to do so please do not hesitate.
Looking ahead at the calendar, we approach another busy month. November includes a Kairos retreat, election day, a late start, a special Mass, our fall play and of course Thanksgiving.
If you can, please join us for the production of Dracula on Friday, November 15th, Saturday November 16th or Sunday, November 17th. Ms. Zuba and Dr. Pinnau are working with our talented students to put together a great production!
Mr. Brad Williams
Dennis Uniform
It has come to our attention that Dennis Uniform has closed down abruptly after 104 years in business. Since Dennis Uniform’s representatives have not reached out to inform us of this, we are working to gather information and develop a plan for moving forward.
If there is a specific uniform piece that your student needs, please feel free to contact the office and we will check our supply of donated items. Also, if you have any items that your student no longer can use, please consider donating them to the office for others. Items can be dropped off during office hours (7:30 am - 4:00 pm; Fridays until 3:30 pm).
We appreciate your patience as we work through this unexpected development.
