The Sueños Summit will be a dynamic gathering where students will have the chance to interact with influential figures from various fields, including business, education, arts, and activism. Through engaging panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, students will gain firsthand knowledge about career paths, cultural heritage, and the power of community engagement.
This unique summit aims to connect students with inspiring Latino community leaders and professionals, providing students with invaluable insights, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

El Sueños Summit será una reunión dinámica a donde los estudiantes puedan interactuar con la gente influyente de trabajos diversos, incluido negocios, educación, artes, y activismo. SENIOR PARENTS, DON'T MISS THE SENIOR PARENT POSTSECONDARY PLANNING NIGHT
Toward the end of August, counselors visited Senior English classes to review tasks needed to be completed and to make their quest for postsecondary education as fruitful as possible. Parents are invited to attend a similar presentation. Senior Parent Postsecondary Planning Night will be on September 26th at 6:30pm. Counselors will go over: communication, testing, résumés, letters of recommendation, college applications, transcripts, and financial aid. This event will be in the Excellence Center and will last about an hour.

What is the Buffett/Goodrich Scholarship Team?
It is a group of students who plan to work on the Buffett and/or Goodrich Scholarships. Mrs. Bradley will help students who qualify from the start of the scholarship to the end of the scholarship. These scholarships have a lot of steps, but Mrs. Bradley will break them down for you and help you through the application process.
How do I know if I qualify?
If you plan to attend a Nebraska State College and your family makes under $100,000 per year, you might qualify.
Email Mrs. Bradley if you would like to be part of this team or have questions.

We do not care if you are awarded one scholarship or ten, we would like to know about all of them! If you have questions, see Mrs. Bradley in the scholarship office. The scholarship office appreciates your help turning in these awards as you receive them.

You can sign up on MaiaLearning and visit with the following college(s) in the Counseling Center. In MaiaLearning, click the "Events" tab on the left. Click the "Actions" on the right of the visit you would like to attend. Click "Attend". You will be signed up to attend! Just show up in the Counseling Office on the date and time of the visit you signed up for. It is the student's responsibility to attend this visit. No passes will be sent. (These are STUDENT ONLY visits)

There have been lots of changes at the Sarpy Center. As of August, they no longer have student services resources (academic advisors, testing center, disability support services advisor or tutoring resources) at this location. These positions have been moved to either the South, Fort or Elkhorn campuses.
The Sarpy Center currently only holds high school academy courses.

PLCS ACT PREP CLASSES
Papillion La Vista Community Schools is offering an ACT Prep Course! Tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, students can choose to attend a session every week or just a few. Research shows that preparation is a key to test taking. Students taking a test preparation course are better prepared for the ACT than those who have done no preparation. This new PLCS ACT Prep Course is taught by PLCS teachers with expertise in each of the subject areas. CLICK HERE to register and for more information.
