5th Grade Family "Bible in a Year" Incentive
A generous donor has provided funding to incentivize 5th grade parents and students to read the Holy Bible together through Father Mike Schmitz's "Bible in a Year" podcast. This is a great opportunity to grow in your faith and understanding of the Word of God. Check out the attached letter which details the program and tuition awards that can be earned through this endeavor.

Did you know...
...Bishop Flaget School is open to students with special learning needs?
- Bishop Flaget currently has 21 students enrolled who are being served on IEPs (Individual Education Plans) or Service Plans (an IEP for non-public schools).
- Ten Bishop Flaget students are receiving Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarships to aid with the needed services to help them be successful in the regular classroom.
- Bishop Flaget employs a full time intervention specialist, special services coordinator (who is also an intervention specialist), and a Title I Resource Tutor as well as tutors trained in the Susan Barton Reading Program.
...Bishop Flaget has three of the top ten students at CHS this year?
- Ryan Blum, Thomas Kessler, and Madison Ward represented Bishop Flaget well in their high school endeavors. Ryan will be attending Ohio State, Thomas will be attending Shawnee State, and Madison will be attending the University of Cincinnati.
- Will Fleck, our BFS student who attended Unioto High School, recently signed with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana.
- We are planning to continue to develop our STEM program to be able to get our high school designated as a STEM high school once all four grade levels are in place.
- Our new high school will be completely different than any other high school in the area or the Diocese of Columbus because of its structure as well as its focus on career development and Catholic identity.
EdChoice Re-Enrollment/Applications Now Open
Remember: Every student in Ohio is eligible for at least $650
The window for EdChoice enrollment begins on February 1st for the 2024-2025 school year. Please make sure that you complete the process as soon as possible so that your scholarship will be awarded prior to the start of the school year. To reapply, you need the renewal application for each student and proof of address (utility bill). Please contact Mrs. Fahnestock if you have any questions.
Return the application form and proof of address to the school office. You can also scan and send them to tfahnestock@cdeducation.org. You do not need to complete the income verification this year unless you would like it to be re-evaluated.
