Ana Valdovinos
Ana is the administrative assistant to the principal. She is the person that the principal relies on to get a multitude of tasks done every day and the principal would not be able to run the school without her expertise and knowledge on the job. Here are some things that people say about her. “This individual stepped into, and stepped up as a critical component in our school. Ana has consistently been a dependable and solid leader, managing multiple aspects of the team. The office is a warm and inviting place to enter and there is never a time when I have felt like I am burdening Ana with all of my questions and requests. Despite the challenge of learning an incredibly difficult position, Ana has been a steadfast beacon of dependability and stability. Our school is blessed to have someone like this to lead us.” Also, her principal says this about her. “When I stepped in as principal on March 11, I knew I would be successful with Ana on my side. I knew that she knew what she was doing and would help me navigate the important things that needed to be done. She is kind, caring, intelligent, a hard worker, and someone I truly enjoy working with.” Thank you, Ana, for everything you do for our school. You are appreciated by everyone here!
Candace Ghelfi
Ms. Ghelfi is the seventh grade ELA teacher and is in her second year at WMMS. She runs the leadership class and is part of multiple school improvement teams. Candace is such a valuable part of the White Mountain team!” Also: “Candace Ghelfi has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that her students are getting the absolute most from their curriculum and learning in her classroom. She also heads the student leadership team and works to make sure that students in all grade levels see the pride we have in our school and encourages their involvement in keeping the school a happy and prideful place to be.” Thank you, Ms. Ghelfi, for being such a valuable part of our educational community.

Congratulations!
These 13 students from White Mountain Middle School traveled to Albany, OR, to compete in the SkillsUSA State Conference. The event they competed in was Urban Search and Rescue, where they had to build a robot of their own that could maneuver through an obstacle course and dispose of an object under a time limit. They have been working on their robots all year long.
Their competition took place on Friday morning and they were ready to go. Each team consisted of two students- one driver and one spotter. First, they had to talk about their robot and why they designed it the way they did. Additionally, they had to provide documentation of their work and progress in their engineering notebook.
Lastly, the driving and skills test. Each team gave their best effort, and these are the results:
1st- Christopher Moreno & Ronaldo Osorio
2nd- Jonathan Ruiz
4th- Angel Gomez & Jacob Ruiz
5th- Lucas Fitzcharles & Joseph Nance
6th- Isaiah Alcauter and Milen Woods
