FSPS employees, parents of FSPS students and community members submitted 74 nominations during the second quarter! Check out the photos below as well as a few of the kind words shared in the recommendations:
Lauren Molton, Darby Middle School - Ignite Award
"Her commitment to student success is evident in her regular communication with parents, and her participation in PLC and professional development opportunities. Lauren demonstrates innovation and creativity through the learning tasks and activities she creates in her classroom. Rather than simply lecturing, she incorporates hands-on activities, uses multimedia, and facilitates classroom discussions." (Ashlea Joyce) "Mrs.Molton uses grace, patience, kindness, and passion to collaborate with students and other staff members. She always has fun and creative ways of teaching and always makes sure her students are on the path to lead the way in the classroom and outside of it." (Kaylee Kuykendall)
Dimitri Williams, Kimmons Middle School - Kind Counts
"Day after day Mr. Williams goes out of his way to be kind to all students and staff members. You can always find Mr. Williams surrounded by students, engaged in conversations and building those positive relationships by getting to know them. Mr. Williams can be found fist bumping students as they go to and fro. Mr. Williams empowers students and staff to grow and learn by being an example." (Shawn Hinkle)
Timothy Washington, Ramsey Middle School - Every Day Leader
"Mr. Washington goes above and beyond to inspire, inform, and lead his students- both in the classroom as well as in the extra-curricular Quiz Bowl teams that he leads after contracted school hours. He sets an expectation of personal responsibility for the students, encouraging team work which encourages the kids to be there to work collectively, and not simply assigning engaging tasks and projects but also providing guidance in such a way as to encourage them to create solutions for themselves." (Meg Sneed)
Help us celebrate these individuals!
