Weekly Update
January 10, 2025
From the Principal
Dear Aquin Families,
Happy New Year! It has been a cold start to the new year with a little snow sprinkled on top! Second quarter report cards are now available in your parent portal.
Included with this newsletter is the schedule for Catholic Schools Week at the end of the month. There is more information below to help with your planning. We look forward to celebrating with everyone!
There will also be a separate newsletter coming out about the upcoming registration for the 2025-2026 school year. There is a large amount of information on this, so we decided to dedicate one whole newsletter just to that topic. We will be sending that newsletter sometime in the next week.
During Catholic Schools Week we will be doing a new student Open House. If you are interested in helping give tours during Open House, we would appreciate the help. We will give you all the information needed. We would also appreciate you inviting a friend or family that does not go to Aquin but may be interested. Your recommendations are our greatest compliment.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp
-Catholic Schools Week
Below is the schedule for Catholic Schools Week. You will notice a few new items this year.
We will be doing a "special person" lunch on Thursday. This can be any person that is special to your child/family including mom, dad, aunt/uncle, grandparent, family friend, etc. We are inviting them to bring a special lunch to share with your child(ren). In the past I have seen everything from McDonalds to pizza to homemade meals; whatever is special to you. We will also have a talent show after recess for any families or special people that would like to attend.
Important Dates
- January 17 - School Improvement Day - Early Dismissal at 12:40 PM
- January 20 - No School - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- January 26 - January 31 - Catholic Schools Week
Adesse - Our Fall Fundraiser
Great job Bulldogs! We have sold over $ 26,000 in Adesse tickets! Let's make a good final push for sales. All tickets sold are in the January drawings, so ticket holders are still receiving the full benefits of the raffle. Tickets sales end on January 15th.
This week's winner for our Adesse incentive drawing of a $250 tuition discount is the Polizzi family!
Adesse tickets are also available in the office. Ticket holders have a chance to win 365 times! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Peyton Glawe at 815-235-3154 x 221.
