Around the School Spotlight
This year, Hawks View will be celebrating a "Character Trait of the Month" each month. Throughout September, we're focused on "Engaged Learning." Character traits are skills that students will practice with targeted activities, lessons and conversations. At the end of each month, we'll hold an assembly to recognize students who've shown exemplary engaged learning. Around the school, we have bulletin boards showing students what it means to be engaged. The visual shown above will be accessible in classrooms and commons areas. The goal of "Character Trait of the Month" is to build strong relationships between students, staff, and families by celebrating and recognizing students’ success and strengths in all areas. Thank you to PAC for helping our staff bring this vision to life! ~ Mrs. Allred, School Counselor

Passport Club ~ Hawks View is a proud member of The Passport Club, a Geography Enrichment Program for Elementary Schools. We’re providing a foundation in global literacy and inspiring curiosity about the world! Students will be studying the location of countries and will be tested once-a-month before school at 7:20, meeting at the Hawks View school entrance, the last Wednesday of every month (exceptions for school closures will be made). Students will be supplied with study materials to take home. A special Passport will collect the stamps they earn based on their monthly check-in status. Depending on the level they choose, by the end of the year they will have learned many of the countries of the world!
Look in the Friday folder for the permission slips and return them to the office or email to Deanna McCord at Passportclub@hawksviewpac.org by September 13th, 2024 .
