The cold temperatures have officially arrived, bringing their challenges and opportunities. Our goal remains to ensure students enjoy outdoor activities as much as possible while prioritizing their safety and comfort. To this end, we kindly ask for your support in ensuring children are dressed appropriately for the weather. Essential outerwear includes a warm coat, hats, and gloves. Once snow arrives, students will require a coat, hat, gloves, snow pants, and boots to engage in snow play safely. Should you find yourself in need of warm outerwear for your child, please do not hesitate to reach out—I will do my utmost to assist in securing these necessities.

As anticipated, the colder weather has led to an increase in vehicle traffic during morning drop-off. To maintain efficiency and safety, please ensure two lines are formed from the onset. A staff member will direct vehicles forward in an orderly manner. We also encourage parents to have children ready to exit vehicles promptly as you pull forward to facilitate a smooth and expedient process. Feedback has been received regarding challenges faced by parents who park and walk children in. This is under review, and any adjustments to improve flow will be communicated promptly.

Lastly, we continue our diligent search for a qualified STEM teacher. Recently, Dr. Mayer and Mrs. Monroe represented us at the Illinois State University job fair, with the hope of identifying a December graduate to join our team and enhance our STEM program.
