INTRODUCING THE ACADEMIC PLAN TOOL IN INFINITE CAMPUS
We are thrilled to announce the introduction of the Academic Plan tool in Infinite Campus, available during this year’s registration process!
This new feature allows scholars to plan out all four years of their high school journey. The tool is designed to guide students by:
Alerting them if course requirements and prerequisites have not been met.
Notifying them if they haven’t registered for enough credits for the academic year.
Below is a preview of the Academic Plan interface that scholars will see in Infinite Campus when registration opens:
More detailed information about the Academic Plan and the registration process will be shared as we approach the registration period. This tool is an excellent resource to ensure students are on track for a successful high school experience!
Thank you for your engagement and support in helping your scholar make informed decisions about their academic journey. We look forward to seeing you at Registration Information Night!

Gently used women's and children’s clothing
Gently used linens (towels, wash clothes, bedding, etc.)
Gently used toys

ACT Test and Preparation Information
The district ACT test will be on April 15th, 2025. Only juniors will come to school that day. It is important that your scholar take the exam as many colleges, universities and scholarships have gone back to requiring a test score. We do not want their options to be limited because they do not take the test.
To help your junior prepare for the test, we will provide an online test prep program. Weekly emails and videos will be sent to your scholars to help them with a study schedule. Please check in with them and make sure they are doing their lessons as part of their regular homework schedule. The first email went out on Thursday, January 23rd.
If you do not want your scholar to take the ACT, please remember that you need to email Michelle Kuhl by February 15th, Michelle.Kuhl@Hopkinsschools.org.
2025-2026 Registration Information
The process for registration for next school year starts the week of 1/27/25. On Tuesday, January 28, and Wednesday, January 29, information will start to be shared with your children regarding registration for the 2025-2026 school year. All scholars have until Friday, February 14th to finalize their course choices for the next school year. We do not permit schedule changes, so we ask that you review the course choices carefully with your children. All scholars should select alternate course choices in the event of scheduling conflicts.
Counselors will be available to support scholars in preparing for the next school year. If you wish to receive more information about registration, please join us on February 5 from 6pm-7:30pm at Hopkins High School for our Registration Information Night.
Appointments with Counselors
Parents/Guardians: If you wish to meet with your scholar’s counselor, please schedule an appointment by emailing the counselor to ensure they will be available to meet with you. School counselors' schedules fill up fast. Thank you for your understanding, partnership, and cooperation.

Bilingual Seals
Is your student proficient in a language other than English? If so, they may be eligible to earn college credits and receive a World Language Proficiency Certificate or a Bilingual/Multilingual Seal notation on their Hopkins High School transcript when they graduate. Whether they have learned another language in school or elsewhere, the Minnesota Department of Education has established a system for recognizing high school students for their language proficiency.
For more information, please check out this important presentation which includes steps as well as great resources. Please encourage your student to explore the next steps.
The registration deadline for any non-AP language proficiency assessment is Friday, February 28, 2025 (please use this form to sign up). Also note that the test day is Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Hopkins Public Schools: 2025 Minnesota Student Survey for Grades 5, 8, 9, and 11
Hopkins Public Schools is inviting students in grades 5, 8, 9, and 11 to participate in the 2025 Minnesota Student Survey (MSS), conducted every three years to gather insights into young people’s lives. In 2022, 70% of Minnesota school districts participated.
This anonymous and voluntary survey is hosted by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and covers topics such as school experiences, future plans, health, relationships, substance use, and more, with high school students answering additional questions about sexual behavior.
Participation helps schools and communities create better programs and services. Parents have the right to review the survey or opt their child out.
The survey will be administered at buildings between February 10–March 14. You can learn more or opt your child out at this link.
