Hello Corvallis Community,

We are in the last part of 2024. I have been in classrooms and seen some amazing learning. Everyone is working hard. We are finishing up a diagnostic that we can compare to the one we took in the fall and see all of our progress. I have heard some wonderful gains from many of our students. Please ask your child about their iReady scores.

Our calendar is full this month too.

Wednesday 12/11 will be Cookies & Crafts sponsored by PTA 6:00-8:00

Wednesday 12/18 3rd grade students and our 4th and 5th grade Choir Concert 6:00 (students performing should arrive at 5:30)

Please consider donating body hygiene products (soap, shampoo ect..) to support our families in our community who may not have access to these items.

This year we are collecting unopened and unwrapped hygiene products. These donations will be sent to our Family Resource Center which will then pass them along to those in need in our community. We are accepting travel and full-sized products.

When dropping off your child's lunch please be sure their name is on the lunch. It isn't easy to keep track of all the lunches and whose goes where. The basket outside will be collected at 11:15 each day.

All of our classrooms need donations of tissues, cleaning wipes, paper towels, and bandaids.

Every school day is a day of learning for our students. It's important that students are in class on time and ready to learn. Our students line up at 8:33 and are in classrooms at 8:35.

Students entering the building from 8:35-8:45 will be greeted by our staff and given a tardy slip to take to class. After 8:45 students will report to the office to obtain a tardy slip.

If your child will not attend school on a particular day you may email cor.att@slzusd.org or call 510-317-4999. Please leave a voice mail. Our office checks it several times a day.

Many of our students suffer anxiety. As a parent, I know how helpless we can feel when our children are suffering. Here is an article that talks about some things parents can do at home. Please reach out to your child's teacher to discuss your concerns. We want to help you and your child work through the anxiety and enjoy school.
