Around the School Spotlight

Our fifth grade promotion is always a bittersweet event. While we are always sad to say goodbye, they are ready to continue their journey as middle schoolers. We are incredibly proud of them and are excited about the bright future that awaits!

We are so proud of the growth all of our students have made this year, both academically & socially. Our Hawks View staff wishes ALL of our students and families a wonderful summer!

Save the Dates

In August, Mrs. Mitchell will be sending a welcome back newsletter to all families with more detailed information about fall events, but in the meantime, below are some August dates you might want to calendar now…

Teachers will be emailing class placement information to families on the afternoon of Friday, August 23rd between 3:00-3:30 pm, so please be watching for an email from your child's teacher!

On Tuesday, August 27th from 4-6 pm, we will be hosting a Meet and Greet event for all families. This will be a chance for all families to visit the school, meet their teachers, and drop off supplies prior to the first day of school. As a reminder, the first day of school for Grades 1-5 is August 28th.

Additionally, information about our new kindergarten orientation day and ramp up week can be found linked here for those families with incoming kindergarten students. Please make sure your student is registered as soon as possible so that you receive any emails that may be sent out over the summer. This includes incoming PreK students!

Withdrawing Your Student Over the Summer?

Moving out of Sherwood this summer? Enrolling your child in a different district or a private school for next year? Please take a moment to fill out our student withdrawal notification form. With our school offices closed during the summer, completing this form will notify our District Office, allowing us to assist you as needed with collecting remaining lunch funds, having your student's records transferred, or a number of other tasks that may need our attention to help you and your child have a smooth transition from our district. Lost and Found Deadline

We have an abundance of items waiting to be claimed. Any items not claimed by June 18th will be donated. Items are now located in the front entry area for your convenience. Smaller items such as jewelry or glasses are in the office.

~Hawks View Yearbook ~There is still time to order your 2023-24 Hawks View yearbook at Treering. All yearbooks will be mailed directly to your home.
