Arrival & Dismissal
Arrival
Front drop off-
All Pre K, ECSE and ABLE students and siblings in those classes will drop off in the front parking lot starting at 7:05 (please be patient as buses unload and leave). Staff will be there to receive the students out front. You will be asked to pull around to the drop off lane if you do not have the special card (picked up from your teacher) denoting drop off is allowed per admin.
Walking students to up to say goodbye-
You may park in the staff parking lot and walk your child to the parking lot crosswalk to say goodbye. We have staff monitoring the crosswalk and they will safely walk them across. Please make sure to walk up to the crosswalk and do not cross over any where else in the drop off line.
Dismissal
Pre-K - 5th grade will dismiss in the normal car line. ABLE and ECSE will pick up from the front of the school.
We continue our process from last year. Instead of both lanes being pulled up at the same time, we are pulling each lane individually. Staff will load both car lines and then everyone will leave like they have been when all kids are safely in their cars and staff is back on the curb to receive the next group of students. We had dismissal down to 15-20 minutes (max) by the EOY. However, we are starting the year over. So, please be patient as the students get back into the routine of things! ☺️
Notes from our SRO - Officer Moon
PLEASE, PLEASE use your turn signals when pulling in and out of our school. It will help me and other officers, with a fluid traffic flow. Also....PLEASE remember that there is NO PARKING on "Meadow Glenn" behind the school or traffic enforcement actions will be issued!
Morning Drop Off:
If you are dropping off your child in the large parking lot, but not in the normal car line (ie. walking your child to the school), YOU MUST pull into the parking lot, park in a spot, and a parent/guardian MUST escort the student(s) to the crosswalk. This is a MAJOR safety concern and we want to make sure students are safe in the parking lot. Thank you, for your cooperation.
