Rooted in Christ: Trusting in His Call
In Luke 5:1-11, we witness Simon Peter’s life change with a single act of trust. After a long night of catching nothing, Jesus tells him to cast his nets once more. Though exhausted and doubtful, Peter obeys—and the result is an overwhelming catch of fish. In that moment, he recognizes Jesus’ divine presence and receives a new calling: to become a fisher of people.
This passage reminds us that Christ calls each of us, often when we least expect it. Like Peter, we may feel uncertain or weary, but when we trust in Jesus and follow His lead, our efforts bear greater fruit than we could imagine. As a school community, we are invited to deepen our faith, encourage one another, and embrace the opportunities God places before us. May we, too, cast our nets in faith, knowing that Christ is with us in every challenge and blessing.
Rooted in Christ, we step forward in trust.
