The end of year i-Ready diagnostic assessment is scheduled for students to take between April 29th and May 15th for elementary and middle school students. This end of year check is one measure of how students made progress towards their end of year growth goal. Your child’s teacher will provide you with more specific days as to when your child will take their assessments.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a partner in your child’s learning. Your child’s report will be available online in your child’s i-Ready account. Our kindergarten classes are so excited to welcome baby chicks into the world. The students have learned all about the development of chicks in the egg, witnessed their hatching, and held these adorable little chicks. It is definitely spring at Davis.

Davis Students have been participating in a school challenge this week to see which classrooms have the BEST hallway behavior. We have been practicing being respectful, responsible and safe as we walk to PE, lunch, or a special class. Students have demonstrated a lot of growth this school year and we are proud of them!

This past Tuesday, four of our 3rd-grade classrooms achieved a remarkable goal - earning their third Golden Tiger Head of the year! Richmond classes earn Tiger Paws by working together to follow our three core expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. Reaching the milestone of 100 Tiger Paws leads to a Golden Tiger Head Celebration. We're thrilled to announce that these dedicated students have not only achieved one, but three Golden Tiger Head celebrations this year, totaling an incredible 300 Tiger Paws earned so far! Join us in applauding their teamwork and commitment. As a special reward, they'll enjoy "popsicles in the park" to mark this achievement.

All 5th grade families, students and teachers are invited to a PTO sponsored breakfast on Friday, May 24th from 7:30-8:15 a.m. Breakfast will be served outside in the back of the building outside of the community room on the blacktop. We encourage as many families as possible to either carpool or if possible walk. Parking will be available at Redeemer Fellowship Church on the corner of Oak and 12th. They are gracious enough to let us use both the street and lot for parents to park during breakfast. We ask that you try your best to save spots on 12th street for our staff. The PTO will provide donuts, coffee and juice. See flyer below for details.

Attention Orchestra Families!

We are in the home stretch--summer is right around the corner! As you begin to fill up your summer with activities and vacations, you should consider our very own D303 Summer Strings Camp!

This camp will be for orchestra students who are currently in grades 3 - 8. Camp will be June 17,18, 20 and June 24, 25, 26 and 27 in the evenings at Thompson Middle School.
