We Live the Word!

Dear Students, Families, & Friends,
Technology at Father John V. Doyle School has been a high priority this summer! We have been upgrading and adding to our program over the past few months to get ready for the new school year. Students and faculty already appreciate the installation of additional Access Points which now provide WiFi to all classrooms over a secured network. Computers in our preK classrooms were upgraded to all-in-one touchscreen models, allowing our students to use their fingers and learn mouse skills at the same time. Teachers continue to incorporate Blended Learning into the curriculum to successfully balance technology with face-to-face learning.
The First Grade Technology curriculum will be enhanced this year with the introduction of Dash & Dot! Dash & Dot are responsive robots packed full of capabilities that allow them to interact with students, their environment, and each other thanks to their multiple built-in motors, sensors, LEDs and audio capabilities (Wonder Workshop). This new program encourages 21st-Century Skills to continue building on critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
As always, Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!
Mrs. Jae T. Smith
