One School, One Book Kicks Off Next Week
The Mouse & The Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary
Our school will start our "One Book, One School" program on Tuesday, 3/5. With the One School, One Book program, we aim to build a community of readers at Kilgour. Everyone - students, teachers, even administrative staff - will be participating! The "One Book, One School" program isn’t just about reading, it’s about igniting a passion for stories. Community reading creates a strong sense of togetherness among students, parents, and teachers.
Our 6th graders will join the (K-5) classrooms on Tuesday through Friday to read to students. On Mondays, there will be a "Mystery Reader" over the announcements to begin reading at 9:15am. Every teacher and administrative staff will also read the book to allow them to engage in conversation with students about the book.
Want to join us but don't have the book? Click the book cover to access a PDF version.

❌❌ PONY LEAGUE CANCELED THIS FRIDAY, MARCH 1ST!! ❌❌
Parents, Unfortunately I have to cancel the final Pony League of the season. I will be out of town on Friday. I'm bummed that we won't get to have an official end to the season. It was a pleasure getting to coach the kids and was exciting getting to see them grow and improve throughout the past few months. Hopefully we will see the first graders next year playing for the second grade teams, and looking forward to the kindergarteners coming back to show the younger kids how its done. Thanks for a wonderful season, and good luck with spring sports! Andrew Derksen
