Welcome to 2017!
Hoping you had a wonderful and restful holiday break! Welcome back to a new year! As we begin 2017, join us in continuing to keep CCS great!
Central Office Holds Children's Christmas Party
Before the holiday break, the Central Office hosted a Christmas party for the children of our employees. Each year the children are treated to great tasting snacks and a bit of holiday entertainment. This year was no exception. Thanks to the C.O. staff that worked to make this a memorable day for these sweet children.
Band Programs Recognized
The Cullman City Council recognized the superior efforts of our bands at a recent City Council meeting. We are so appreciative of our city leaders' interest and recognition of our students and teachers.
CHS Fishing Duo Wins Team Qualifier
Congrats to Keaton K. and David D. for finishing first in the team qualifier at Wheeler in December. Nice job boys! Keep it up!
All-State Choir Members Recognized
CMS students Mary Claire P., Tiffany D., Kristin C., and Chandler L. were recognized for their selection to the Alabama All-State Choir at the December Board Meeting. We are proud of the accomplishments of these students! Congratulations!
PTO Kicks Off Great Holiday Break
EES PTO helped our faculty and staff start their holiday break with a lot of fun. Thanks to our PTO for hosting a fantastic Christmas luncheon. We also had great fun after our meal with an ornament swap! We return to 2017 refreshed and ready to begin the second semester after a wonderful holiday break!
Spelling Bee Proves To Be Tough Competition
The West Spelling Bee was held during the final week of the first semester. The 23 spellers did an outstanding job! As the number of spellers remaining dwindled the words got harder and harder! The winner spelled thaumaturge and vulpine to clinch the title. Congratulations to all spellers. We are proud of you!
Below: 2nd place - Drew W., Winner - Alex J., 3rd place - Willa S.
CCPS Rides the Polar Express
We wrapped up the 2016 calendar year with a trip to the North Pole via our own Polar Express. Our students and teachers had a trainload of fun during the entire event. Schoolwide and classroom activities brought us all together for a fantastic holiday celebration. Many thanks to the CHS Leo Club for their help during this event.
