A message from the principal
Greetings Wilson Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends last week. On November 22, we celebrated all of our hard work and learning during trimester 1. Teachers then worked on report cards and they will be available on Wednesday, December 4 online in ParentVue for all families to see.
This is the final reminder for anyone interested in ordering Square1Art. The deadline to order is Tuesday, December 3. More information is below on how you can order a keepsake from your student. These orders will be here before the holidays, so they could be a great gift for yourself or a family member.
As the weather gets colder, please make sure your student(s) come to school with their warm winter gear. When it is above zero degrees, students will be going out to recess each day. If you are in need of winter clothing (coats, snow pants, boots, hats/gloves, etc.) for your student, please reach out to Ms. Page, our school social worker at Amalia.Page@ahschools.us.
I hope everyone has a great start to December!
Sincerely,
Chris Forrest
Important student safety information
STUDENT MORNING DROP OFF REMINDERS
We are working hard to keep our morning drop off line moving quickly and safely for all families and students. If you drop your student off in the morning, please review the reminders below:
- Do not park in the drop off line, this line is for drop and go only.
All adults must remain in the car during drop off. If you would like a longer goodbye with your child, please feel free to park in the lot or at Sunny Acres and walk them over to the door.
Make sure that your child exits your car on the side closest to the building/sidewalk.
At 9:10, students who eat breakfast are allowed into the cafeteria to eat. Other students will wait for the 9:20 bell behind their grade level cone.
Follow directions of staff directing traffic for everyone's safety.
Place your order today!
Important school information
Breakfast and lunch are at no cost to families this year, however, the cost of a la carte items, such as milk, or extra meal items will not be covered. Students will need to have funds in their meal accounts to purchase any additional food items. If your family needs access to educational benefits, please visit ahschools.us/freereduced to complete an application.
If you need help finding your login/password, call 763-506-HELP or email 506help@ahschools.us for assistance.
Attendance information
Student absences can be reported via the Web (you will need to know your parent account information) or via the ParentVUE Mobile App.
You will still be able to contact the attendance line at 763-506-4706 to report an absence 24/7.
Every day that your student will be late or absent, you must enter attendance online or call the attendance line in order to have your students' absence counted as excused. Please DO NOT email your child's teacher with attendance information.
Monthly character focus
December is Empathy month
Each month, with the help of our school social worker Amalia Page, our students will learn about and practice a monthly character trait. Ask your student throughout the month what activities they have been doing at Wilson to demonstrate Empathy.
