What a great first week we have had!!! It has been a joy to get to know all of the students. We are looking forward to learning even more about them as the year goes along.
Parent/Teacher conferences are Friday, August 23 from 8:00- 3:30. Sign ups for a 15 minute slot are available in Skyward. No school for students that day.

Topic 1- Introduction to Matter
We will learn how to describe and classify matter in Lesson 1. Students have a vocabulary list to be worked on in class. Due 8/22
Social Studies
Topic 1 Origins of Civilization
Homeroom
Payne- We will work on the RACE strategy for writing and begin a vocabulary unit. Each student should have a grade level appropriate chapter book that they are reading at all times. They are welcome to borrow one from the classroom library and we will go to the school library soon.
Phillips- We will use Reflex, IXL, and ALEKS to practice reading and math skills. Students are quickly learning classroom policies and procedures. Please remind your child to charge their Chromebook every night and come to school with all of their supplies .
