Dear CES Family,

I have a highlight this week for you: Plumas Arts and the Artist in the Schools Program! From their website: "Plumas Arts is committed to Arts Education: to enhance and provide opportunities for artistic development and excellence for artists, potential artists and audiences of all ages. Arts education and access to it at the public school level, is a fundamental aspect of one of our organizational goals of making quality arts education available to all students regardless of means. As a part of that ongoing effort, Plumas Arts provides hands-on artist workshops in every K-6 classroom through the California Arts Council's (CAC) Artist in the Schools Program." All of our students, in grades 2-6, are currently engaged in a 10-week arts program that will broaden their learning horizons at CES. We are grateful to Plumas Arts for graciously providing us with this opportunity. All of our teachers know the value of a solid arts education program, and this is just one of the experiences that our students enjoy in this arena.

That's right, Summer School! I know, it's only February, but we're getting an early start on trying to determine interest. Click on the "Summer School" graphic to learn more and state your interest. More information coming in the weeks to come.
