Prayer
The Fast Life
Fast from judging others;
Feast on Christ dwelling in them.
Fast from fear of illness;
Feast on the healing power of God.
Fast from words that pollute;
Feast on speech that purifies.
Fast from discontent;
Feast on gratitude.
Fast from anger;
Feast on patience.
Fast from pessimism;
Feast on hope.
Fast from negatives;
Feast on encouragement.
Fast from bitterness;
Feast on forgiveness.
Fast from self-concern;
Feast on compassion.
Fast from suspicion;
Feast on truth.
Fast from gossip;
Feast on purposeful silence.
Fast from problems that overwhelm;
Feast on prayer that sustains.
Fast from anxiety;
Feast on faith.
Amen
A Note from Mrs. Longden
We began the Lenten Season this week with Ash Wednesday. This is a wonderful time of the year to teach our school children about the life of Christ, the suffering, the death, and the meaning of all as it brings the glory of the Easter Resurrection. Our children see the battered body of Jesus hanging on the crucifix each day as we pray. To make sense of it all requires the mind of a genius and the faith of an angel. Yet, when a child gazes upon this site, they are able to ask the most sophisticated questions and have the most inquisitive curiosity about our salvation. They can clearly see good and evil at work. We give them the opportunity to dig deep throughout their years at our school. The Holy Trinity students develop a solid and lasting base from which they will find themselves pulling from over and over again as life’s journey brings them to many places.
In the weeks ahead, our Holy Trinity students will lead prayer for their classes and the entire school, will walk the path of the stations in various formats, will give alms to the poor, will participate in confession, and will attend adoration, and will study, learn, sacrifice, and focus on Jesus.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
ITBS TESTING
ITBS Testing
Iowa Test of Basic Skills has begun and will continue through next week for students in 2nd-8th grade.
Please be sure students are getting a good night's sleep and eating a good breakfast the morning before coming to school.
Office Help
Mrs. DeTrana had a baby boy on Monday, February 24th.
With that being said, we are looking for someone to help in the office.
If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to Mrs. Longden at principal@htschool.net.
A Note From Mrs. DeTrana
Thank you all for such a warm welcome to the school, parish, and community. It has truly been a blessing to be in the school office this year. My family and I have decided that since our baby boy has arrived, I will be staying home full-time. Know of our deepest gratitude for all of you, and we look forward to seeing you at Mass and around town!
God bless,
Mariah Detrana
2025-2026 Registration
Thank you for your continued support of Holy Trinity and for prioritizing Catholic education in your child’s life. Registration for the 2025-26 school year is underway.
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of your child’s education. In addition to your tuition, support from our parishes and monies raised by third source funding help to cover the remaining gap. Therefore, the support of your parish and various fundraisers significantly impacts the cost of tuition.
It is our belief that when you send your child to Holy Trinity you place a high value on quality Catholic education. Your investment is personal, precious, and lifegiving. May God’s blessing be with you as we work together to provide the best learning environment for your child(ren).
If you have not turned in your registration yet, please do so.
