VIRTUAL CLINIC

What is a Virtual Clinic?
Our school district partners with Cox Health Systems to provide a school-based telehealth clinic where your child may be seen by a provider for common illnesses right from the school. Using the latest technology, you will connect with a healthcare provider to discuss and evaluate your child's symptoms so they can begin a treatment plan to start feeling better sooner. The clinic will be located inside the school building (both at the high school campus and the elemiddle campus). It will be operated by a Patient Care Navigator who will facilitate a visit with a CoxHealth provider via virtual care.
Students will NOT be seen at the Virtual Clinic without their parent or legal guardian in attendance at each visit.
How will my child be seen?
If a child is sick, they will be sent to the school’s nurse for evaluation. If the nurse finds that the child's ailment is able to be treated by a provider through telemedicine, they will contact the parent. A licensed nurse practitioner or physician will examine the child via web camera and specialized equipment. Parents will participate in this visit in person with their child or remotely through a video connection.
A parent may set up a visit directly by contacting our Cox Health School Navigator at virtualvisits-Clever@coxhealth.com.
Again, students will NOT be seen at the Virtual Clinic without their parent or legal guardian in attendance at each visit.
