SPRING MAP AND iREADY TESTING
This spring your child (3rd-5th) will be taking the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade-Level Assessments in order to evaluate your student’s progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. Grade-Level Assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students, and educational programs. Assessments are given in the subject areas of Communication Arts (grades 3-8), Mathematics (grades 3-8), and Science (grades 5 and 8). Our students in grades K-5 will also be taking the Spring Benchmark for iReady in both reading and math.
Please help us by having your students to school on time if it is a testing day for their grade level, as testing will begin promptly at 8:20 a.m. Testing will take place on these days for most of the day. If possible, please do not schedule appointments on these days; we would greatly appreciate it. The testing sessions will be split throughout the entire school day to give students needed breaks between sessions.
If you need to know the specific times on a day, we ask you to reach out to your child's teacher for the times. We greatly appreciate your help on having your child here on these days.
- 5th grade will test the week of April 29
- 4th grade will test the week of May 6
- 3rd grade will test the week of May 13
It's Time to Pick Up Your Child's Medicine
No medications will be stored in the nurse’s office over the summer break.
Any medication not picked up on, or before the students’ final day of school, will be disposed of.
If your child will be attending WSD summer school or ESY, and you would like your child to receive or have available medication as it is during the regular school year, please call or email me with this information.
Thank you,
Nurse karen
