Wellness Fair is Back with Exciting New Features
This year's NJSD wellness fair has some exciting features! The fair will take place in the high school spirit hallway and competition gym on Tuesday, August 27 from 9-11 a.m. after convocation and will include several new vendors.
Many of the vendors will be offering not only information and resources, but also giveaways and prizes! All staff will also have a chance to be entered into a drawing for their participation in the wellness fair for their chance to win prizes such as a new wellness t-shirt, JBL Flip 6 speaker, a fitness tracker, and even a day off! The drawing will take place at 10:30 a.m. and you must be present to win. Additionally, we will have Little Birdies Treats & Coffee and Bar Carte Co. onsite for staff to purchase coffee, treats, and/or mocktails at their own expense if they would like.

New School Year Brings New Title IX Rules and Training
The Department of Education in Washington has finalized new Title IX regulations. As part of their directive to schools receiving federal funding, we are required to train all staff under the new regulations before the first day of the 2024-25 school year. Accordingly, you will see an email reminding you to log onto ClassLink and then a link for Safe Schools Training. The title of the training is called, "Title IX Compliance Overview - 2024." Please contact the Human Resources department if you have any questions.

Board of Education Meeting Recap - August 20
A Board of Education self-evaluation tool was adopted and resolutions for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards convention were considered at the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education meeting on August 20. Click here for the recap
Hall of Fame Banquet Tickets on Sale
Seven individuals comprise the Neenah Joint School District’s ninth Hall of Fame class in 2024 that will be inducted as part of Homecoming festivities. Those inducted will be Collette (Goudreau) Murphy, Alvin Long, Wayne Salzmann, Warren Schucknecht, Will Scribner, Bob Totten and Frank Wiesner.
The group will be honored at a banquet on Sat., Oct. 5 at 11:30 a.m. at Neenah High School. Tickets are now available and may be purchased online through GoFan. Tickets are $30 each and may also be purchased in person at the District Administration building during normal business hours. Sponsorship tables are also available.
New Copiers Bring New Authentication
With the new copiers, you will not be authenticating with your username, you will now be required to authenticate with your email address.
Follow these steps to configure printing on your Mac.
Print something
Find the Print Queue icon in your Dock
4. In the Authentication box, you will notice your username and password are currently entered. We are switching from usernames to email for authentication
5. Replace your username with your email address and make sure the box for “Remember this password in my keychain” is checked
Click OK and your print job should disappear in several seconds. If your print job disappears, you are all set.
Navigate "Silver Status" Deadline is August 31
There are a wide variety of ways to earn your 500 points under different pillars of wellness. Please note, anything that says "Complete This" needs to be self-reported in order to receive those points for completion. You can log into your account to check how many points you have currently earned by going to www.njsdwellness.com.
Navigate Offers New Texting Functionality for Multi-Factor Authentication
Great news! Navigate is offering a new texting MFA option to your Navigate platform! All users can continue using the authentication app or switch to the text option, where you will get a code texted to you. If you prefer to switch to the texting option, you can use this How-to-guide and Instructional video to help you set it up. Public Schools Unite Us
Reuniting public school alumni with the educators who influenced them, they profile a diverse range of individuals to explore the ways that public schools build and support strong communities. Health and Wellness Center Explains Roseola

Last week we talked about two common viral illnesses (hand, foot, mouth disease and herpangina). Let’s discuss another illness that most children catch at some point. Roseola is usually caused by one of the herpes viruses. It is important to remember that there are many herpes viruses, and when we talk about them, we are not always talking about a virus that can cause genital herpes. Click here to read more
Join the NJSD Team for Fox Cities Marathon Events
NJSD employees are eligible for discounts to run or walk any of the September 21 or 22 Fox Cities Marathon events. Employees may participate in the 5k, 10k, half marathon, or full marathon. Be sure to select Neenah Joint School District from the drop down menu under the Business Challenge when registering. NJSD won the Business Challenge in 2021 and finished third the past two years.
NJSD will reimburse a portion of your entry fee ($5 for 5K, $10 for 10K, $15 for half marathon and $20 for full marathon). Please contact Sara Mercer to receive your discount after registration.
