We are glad that you could join us for MSE Open House 2024-25! The schedule for this evening allows you to explore Middle School East at you own pace. We would encourage you to visit our school website to access valuable information, along with ParentVUE, throughout the year. Please visit our middle school office if you do not have current ParentVUE login information. We have put together a list that will help you in making your evening as productive as possible.

• Find your locker
• Practice the combination several times
• Organize your supplies in your locker
• Tour the building
• Use your schedule to find your classrooms for the first day of school
• Locate the closest restrooms
• Meet the administration, teachers, and school counselors
• Find the gyms and locker rooms
• Have your school picture taken
• Visit with your friends

New this year at Middle School East for fifth graders is that they are scheduled into their own KORT classes with 5th grade Teachers! In an effort to ensure their individual needs are met as new students into the middle school, we are trying something new! Students will start and end their day with the same teacher! Their KORT and 7th hour teacher will be the same teacher! This will provide students with a go to person to check in with at the bookends of their school day. It is our hope that this will ensure that they will connect with that teacher regarding the highs and lows of their day to make sure that we are able to support them in their journey through middle school. This is the teacher you will report to upon arriving to school fifth graders!

The STMA Middle School Student Handbook contains a wealth of information for families regarding attendance, student behavior, student services, academics, and many of the district policies that are important for students to know.

Each student will receive a physical copy of the handbook and essential topics will be covered in KORT class during the first week of school. Please follow the link to the handbook above to learn more about Middle School East.

If your child is ill, will be absent from school, or will be arriving late or leaving early, please call our attendance voicemail at (763) 497-2655 and press 1 for Attendance, or email our Attendance Office at meattendance@mystma.org

• the duration of the absence

1. Spin the dial twice to clear the locker combination
2. Spin the dial to the RIGHT for your first number
3. Spin the dial back to the LEFT, making sure you go PAST THE ZERO, for your second number
4. Spin the dial to the RIGHT for your last number
5. When you are done at your locker, be sure to give the dial a quick spin three times to clear the locker combination

Your counseling team is excited to welcome all students to the 2024-25 school year! We are dedicated to empowering every student to achieve academic success and social/emotional growth. We are passionate about helping students overcome issues that are negatively impacting their achievement or well-being. Our department does not provide therapy or long-term counseling; however, we continue to support all students throughout their middle school years! We typically work with students in a small group or individual setting, and can provide resources to families as well. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any support your child or family needs!
