Principal's Message
Dear Westmoor community,
All of us at Westmoor looked forward to our Back to School Night and we hope you were able to attend. These evenings are a time for families to connect with both the school and the experience of their students in truly positive ways. We continue to be proud of the work that we do here and look to share our successes as often as possible.
Keeping this in mind, you may have heard that our parent organization, PTSA, has already had its first meeting. Many of us were very pleased with the turn-out but welcome additional voices and support. We are also excited that our fall sports and campus activities are taking shape in ways that will allow for all of our students to engage the Westmoor experience at broader and deeper levels.
Finally, we are excited that our new, and improved, schedule is appearing to be having some positive impact on both our student body and our faculty. Flextime is allowing for our students to gain access to a variety of academic supports, and our collaboration time is helping our faculty align their courses with expected student outcomes, all of which offers this community, ahem, “Excellence for, and from, all students.”
Kind regards,
Dr. Michael McAlister
Principal
