Happenings Around the School
On October 10, 2024, Rotarians, Ki Groh and Frank Herron, from the Rotary Club of Red Lion – Dallastown met with students from Red Lion’s Life Skills program to recognize them for their contribution to the club’s Chicken BBQ held on September 21, 2024. Mrs. Lintz’s class prepared many of the baked goods that were sold at the baked goods table at the BBQ. The students’ baked goods all sold out and contributed greatly to the success of the BBQ. Profits of the BBQ will go toward scholarships for a leadership conference (RYLA) and for college scholarships for students at both Red Lion Area and Dallastown Area School Districts. The BBQ is also able to make contributions to LifePath Ministries for their Women’s and Children’s shelter. The students of Mrs. Lintz’s classes displayed genuine Community Spirit in their efforts to enhance our BBQ. Certificates acknowledging the students for their Community Service and Rotary Coins were awarded to all the students involved. They all did a super job! We are so very proud of them!
The Lions Boys XC Team competed at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational. Over 1200 runners representing 120 schools converged at Lehigh University. The team finished 7th overall led by Daniel Naylor (29), Cian Wisniewski (53), Parker Keiser (56) and Matthew Yost (94).
