Dance/Attendance Letter
Dance/Attendance Letter
CHAPARRAL HIGH SCHOOL 15655 Brookstone Drive, Parker, CO 80134 PHONE (303) 387-3500 ∙ FAX (303) 387-3501 Date: 8-30-2024 Dear Parents and Guardians, We hope this message finds you well. As we have begun the new school year, we want to share an important update regarding student attendance and its impact on participation in school events. To support our commitment to academic success and student engagement, Chaparral High School is implementing a new policy for all school sponsored dances this school year. Students who accumulate more than 20% total absences will unfortunately be ineligible to attend the dances, which includes Homecoming, Winter Dance and Prom. This policy is designed to encourage regular attendance and ensure that students are fully participating in their educational experience. We believe that consistent attendance is crucial for academic achievement and overall school involvement. We understand that there may be circumstances that impact attendance, and we encourage you to communicate with us if your child faces any challenges that could affect their ability to meet the attendance requirement. Our goal is to support every student’s success, and we are here to assist you in addressing any concerns or questions you may have. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can work to ensure that every student has a successful and enjoyable school year. Sincerely, CHS Administration
