Lytle High School: January 2025
Message from your Principal:
Dear Lytle Community,
Welcome back! Our students and staff resumed school this past week. We hope you all had a joyful and restful Christmas break, filled with time to recharge and create lasting memories with loved ones. As we step into this new year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead and the momentum we’ve built as a school community.
Our academic success remains at the forefront of everything we do. Teachers and students have returned with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to dive into meaningful learning experiences. Let’s continue working together to ensure all students thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
We also want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of our students who exhibited their ag mechanics projects and animals at the Atascosa County Livestock Show this past week. Their hard work, dedication, and talent were on full display, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented our school and community.
A big shout-out goes to our boys’ and girls’ basketball, golf, and powerlifting teams, who have been giving us much to cheer about this season. Their hard work and determination are truly inspiring, and we’re proud of the way they represent our school both on and off the court. Let’s continue showing them our support as they compete in the coming weeks!
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce that baseball and softball seasons are just around the corner. These programs have a rich tradition of excellence, and we can’t wait to see our student-athletes shine.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, let’s make 2025 a year of excellence, growth, and celebration for Lytle High School.
Here’s to a great second half of the year!
Warm regards,
Matthew Jenke

Art Teacher Morgan Clyde Awarded $750 Grant
We’re thrilled to share that our talented art teacher, Morgan Clyde, has received a $750 grant from AdoptAClassroom.org! This grant will allow Ms. Clyde to invest in specialized technology to better support her neurodivergent students, ensuring they have tools tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to fostering an inclusive classroom environment, the funding will be used to develop marketable digital art skills for all her students, helping them prepare for future opportunities in creative industries. The grant will also enable the purchase of display materials to showcase student artwork in local businesses, strengthening our community partnerships and celebrating the incredible talents of our young artists.
